Master Hand laser glitch
The Master Hand laser glitch is a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Melee. It can occur only when Master Hand is being controlled, either through hacking with a GameShark, Action Replay, or the Name Entry glitch. It is based on the Master Hand glitch, which allows Master Hand to be controlled by the player.
Execution of the glitch
The glitch must be executed when a character is using the Master Hand. The item switch must be configured so that either Super Mushrooms or Poison Mushrooms are able to appear.
First, a Super or Poison Mushroom must touch Master Hand. He will grow or shrink, respectively. Next, he must use B^ (Laser) while he returns to normal size. The laser beams will remain on his fingertips, even once the attack is over. They can still do damage, but there will be no sound effects. This glitch will not impede Master Hand's ability to use other attacks.
This glitch can be done with Crazy Hand, but only if Master Hand is present as well, KO'd or not. If Master Hand is not present, the game will freeze before the lasers start.
Crazy Hand can do the glitch without mushrooms. By doing a combo attack, it will strangely work.
An alternate way to execute it is in training mode. He must use B^ (Laser). Go to the training mode, and reset. The laser beams will be infinite. He will be facing the wrong way and only some of his moves make him attack the opponent. Others go in the opposite direction.
Trivia
- Strangely, the player still can use the Laser attack while the glitch is executed. If the player executes the move a second time, it still uses the lasers after the attack is done.
- The game sometimes freezes when the glitch is performed.
- If the glitch is repeated, then the lasers will cause more damage because repeated uses of the glitch adds sets of lasers.
