- XBOX representative Phil Spencer says that Banjo and Kazooie are open for Smash Bros.

- A Nintendo Direct reveals that Mewtwo will be available in Super Smash Bros. 4 starting April 15th via the Club Nintendo promotion, or April 28th for purchase afterwards. In addition, Lucas is revealed to be in development, planned for a June release. Additional paid DLC costumes for the Mii Fighters will also be released on April 15th. A character ballot page has been added to the Smash official site, allowing players to suggest potential playable characters.

- The PMDT announces the next Project M update, with new stages such as Bowser's Castle, HD Saffron City and Peach's Castle, Brawl layouts for Infinite Glacier/Summit and Green Hill Zone and more.

- At Aftershock, Sethlon, Junebug, and iPunchKidsz respectively take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Project M singles, ZeRo, Dabuz, and Denti respectively take 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles, and Axe, Wobbles, and Redd respectively take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Melee singles. Dakpo & Lunchables, ZeRo & Dabuz, and Axe & Wobbles win Project M, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Melee doubles, respectively.
