The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Edge dashing
Edge Dashing is basically starting and ending an initial dash at an edge, without falling off. It's mostly just to show off in a Taunt Match, but the player can perform a Dash attack as well.
How To Perform
Get close to the ledge, and simply tap as fast as the player can towards the ledge. One way to do it is to hit the Control Stick to the desired direction, while letting the player's finger slide off so the Control Stick returns to its original position. The player's character will start a dash for one frame without falling off the edge of the platform.
Dash Attack
If the player is using a Gamecube Controller, they can use the C-Stick to perform a Dash Attack next to an edge. As the player hits the left Control Stick, hit the C-Stick in any direction but Up. The player doesn't have to let go of the left Control Stick this time, they just have to make sure the C-Stick comes right after the left Control Stick.
If the player tries to use the A button instead of the C-Stick, they'll perform an f-smash. If the player is using the C-Stick and perform a d-smash, then they hit the C-Stick too soon.
