- A pixelated Duck Hunt appears in a Pic of the Day, marking the character's first official acknowledgement. The post also confirms that there will be reveal videos for the secret newcomers.

- A Nintendo Direct about Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is announced, which will reveal 50 new elements featured in the Wii U version. The Direct will air at 3pm PDT on October 23rd here.
