Pikachu takes part in Target Blast.

Target Blast (スマッシュボンバー, Smash Bomber) is a gameplay mode that appears in the Stadium of at least Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The mode is described as a combination of Target Smash and Home-Run Contest, with players inflicting damage on a timebomb on a platform, then launching it as far as possible as to destroy as many targets as possible; while the trajectory of the bomb will destroy most blocks in its path, its explosion will cause further damage by causing physics-based chain reactions. Players have two attempts to send the bomb flying, and the score is based on the combined score of both attempts. If the player fails to send the bomb out of the specialised platform before the time runs out, they will receive a score of zero for the run.

The scores in this mode are used as part of Global Smash Power.
