Abandon Ship!, also known as Emergency Eject[1]is Bowser Jr.'s up special move.

Overview

When used, Bowser Jr. jumps out of the Koopa Clown Car, which explodes when it hits the ground. When the Car is falling, it will do 5% damage, and upon exploding, will do 13% with moderately good knock back. Bowser Jr. gains a new Koopa Clown Car upon hitting the ground or grabbing a ledge.

If Bowser Jr. is in midair after performing this move, he can only attack in front of and behind him with a hammer. The hammer does 15% damage and has KO potential around 115%.

Customization

Special Move customization was added in Super Smash Bros. 4. These are the known variations:

  1. Meteor Crash: Vertical height is forsaken for the move gaining Meteor Smash properties upon starting the move. Contact with the falling Car is 3% damage, and the explosion is 10% damage. The hammer can still be used after ejecting and is the exact same as the default move.
  2. Explosive Launch: The Koopa Clown Car flies straight up and explodes, sending Bowser Jr. crashing down, and does 17% to anyone hit on the way down with strong vertical knock back. Upon going down, pressing "A" will cancel the move into a hammer swing, and allows Bowser Jr. to move horizontally quicker. A stage's ledge cannot be grabbed on the way up, only on the way down.
