Talk:Unused content (SSB)
none you have done research clearly beta is not substitute word for early or unued.82.26.52.219 11:09, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- In the world of 6, "4" refers to the development phase where the software is feature complete. From what can be seen, all elements featured on this page presumably came from a beta of the game, and as such, the term "beta elements" makes sense: it refers to elements of gameplay that were featured in the beytur of SSB
- Also, unless information is blatantly wrong (i.e. not debatable to any extent that it is wrong), no one is exempted from SW:1RV. Just a forewarning that I will rollback any future attempts at that from you.
Beta is the stage that happens near ready to be shipped. I don't know about you, but I don't think developers drop tons of shit from their games that close to release. Screenshots of games are taken and footage recorded usually way before the beta phase is even reached. Beta is not the correct term to use when referring to unused/pretelease content, no matter what some dickhead (not meant to be an attack on you) on the internet says.,82.26.52.219 11:26, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- You have clearly not paid much attention to game development; it is not only normal but common for content to be cut shortly beforr release, and unless you can prove that these features were absent in the beta the term "beta content" will remain. I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that that you have an account and should only make edits when logged in. Failing to do so can qualify as a violation of our sockpuppet policy (SW:SOCK) and can lead to both your account and IP being banned from editing the wiki. --Anothrgamer1234 (talk) 11:37, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
You have no proof that these features were around at the beta phase. This wikia should not encourage stupidity. Supposed "beta" content should be referred to as unused or early content unless we are certain what stage of development is from (actual proof, not some idiot slapping beta on everything).
Me and that user are not the same person.82.26.52.219 11:40, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- According to administrators, CheckUser has already confirmed that you are indeed the same person as that user, and I am far more inclined to trust an administrative tool that has verified the connection between your account and IP than your own increasingly dubious claims. Additionally, the term "beta content" is a catchall term that applies regardless of when the content was removed, and your personal preference is not an excuse to change it. --Anothrgamer1234 (talk) 11:52, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- Beta isn't and has never been a catchall term, it refers to a specific point in game development before shipping. Prerelease, early, and unused are catchalls. Claiming beta is a catchall for content seen in prerelease screenshots/unused in the game's code is like claiming dubstep is a catchall for all genres of electronica. --Murabito (talk) 13:16, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
