The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Exactly what determines the length of a moonwalk? I've been trying to figure it out, but nothing seems to fit all characters. NeonCrusader 12:36, September 23, 2007 (EDT)

Okay, with some further analysis, I think it has to do with initial dash speed and lateral air time; hence why CF has a great moonwalk. Link, Young Link, and Mewtwo all have huge lateral air times as well. NeonCrusader 17:23, October 23, 2007 (EDT)

Directions...?

As a reader, I've noticed that the directions for performing a moonwalk are not as clear as they could be. Would it be at all possible to have a gif manufactured which shows frame inputs? Maybe it's just me, but the directions seem to lack the timing necessary to implement this technique. Based on this article alone, I have not been able to perform a moonwalk as directed, and for the sake of the wiki, I believe it would be helpful for a gif to be involved for clarity. Including button inputs in a gif should be possible, with ones like this. I don't have much knowledge on this though. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 14:32, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
That's what i meant. Though technically it should include analog stick inputs as well, right? The whole point is it involves the analog stick being heavily maneuvered in very precise ways...which means it necessitates a gif with representation of ALL controls (talking out of my ass considering I'm requesting a lot of someone else, but it's a fair point I think). I've seen a gif like that somewhere here before, though I cannot remember where as of now... Ah, well. Thanks. Oasidu (talk) 14:51, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
Also, where did that gif of Captain Falcon that was originally up go to? They replaced it with this Fox one when Moonwalking went up on the Smash Arena and it's been gone ever since... Oasidu (talk) 14:54, 26 October 2013 (EDT)
See the file history, the Fox one was uploaded as a new version of the CF one. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 14:59, 26 October 2013 (EDT)

Return in Smash 4

It seems that moonwalking is returning in Smash 4. Confirm? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_5D8mmjX98 (starts at about 2:45 and lasts about 7 seconds) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPS7hXpe7u4 Rtzxy Signature SmashBall.jpeg Smashing! 01:09, 7 September 2014 (EDT)

I've also found footage of moonwalking in Brawl. Are these 3 moonwalks real or not? http://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&persist_app=1&v=X0w9HCNxYA4 Rtzxy Signature SmashBall.jpeg Smashing! 15:43, 7 September 2014 (EDT)
