Information in Reveal Video

The page is understandably limited in who can edit it, but there were a few details from the reveal video of Greninja about his nature as a fighter. A move that looks like it could definitely be his up special (where he shoots two jet streams of water in quick succession to propel himself and reach the ledge) should probably be noted, as well as what looks like a grab. Those are just a couple of examples that seem to be absent. Toymakers Creation (talk) 22:10, 10 April 2014 (EDT)

Is it worth noting that it's tall but is almost permanently crouching? Closest we've gotten to that before is Wolf. 109.149.11.192 11:58, 11 April 2014 (EDT)

Trivia?

I have found two facts for Greninja that I believe should be placed on his page (either this one, or the main Greninja one):

  • Greninja is the only playable character in the Super Smash Bros. series, to have debuted, and then appeared in a Smash Bros. title, with both being on the same console.
  • Not counting Roy, Greninja had the shortest amount of time between his debut and his appearance in a Super Smash Bros. title.

Just putting these two out there. :P 99.241.151.203 16:53, 6 May 2014 (EDT)

That first one could work if only was changed to first, although I think it belongs on the main Greninja page, not the SSB4 one. That second one is too volitile. FirstaLasto 19:46, 6 May 2014 (EDT)

Unnamed Up Special

I believe the Up Special has a name, and the name is Aqua Jet. It's a water type variation of the move Quick Attack. The only problem is that Greninja can't learn it in any of the games. Shouldn't be too big an issue though, as Lucario's "Aura Storm" isn't even an actual move in the series. Mewchild (talk) 05:06, 4 July 2014 (EDT)

Outright speculation. Even if we knew for a fact the move shared its name with a move Greninja could legitimately learn (which we don't), we still couldn't say it was any particular move. Quick Attack, Bounce, Acrobatics, etc. are all just as plausible anyway. We're not going to guess. Miles (talk) 06:49, 4 July 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, it's best not to speculate names. By the way, Greninja cannot legitimately learn Aqua Jet in the Pokémon games, so it's highly unlikely. Then again, Pichu had moves it cannot learn legitimately when it was in Melee, so who knows? Best to hold off until a name is confirmed. Berrenta (talk) 07:36, 4 July 2014 (EDT)

I'm going to call this move,"Hydro Pump" because it reminds me of that move. I may be wrong! The Smash Brotha (talk) 11:24, 28 July 2014 (EDT)

Whoa, hold on. Smash Wiki is not speculative. You're new here, so I suggest you read smash wiki's Help Pages before editing. Laikue (talk) 11:29, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
I know that part but if you pay close attention he shoots the water from his hands. The Smash Brotha (talk) 10:47, 29 July 2014 (EDT)
Greninja does that with all Water Moves in X&Y though..... Laikue (talk) 14:55, 29 July 2014 (EDT)

Light Blue palette swap?

When has it been confirmed that Greninja had this? Also, he has a pink palette swap (possibly based on Lickitung?) that isn't mentioned here.SchAlternate (talk) 14:08, 12 July 2014 (EDT)

I'm not sure, but when starting a new topic, press "new section" at the top of the page, or heck, just put it at the bottom. Newe Talk Topics should not go at the top. Laikue (talk) 15:14, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
My bad. I'm new here. Anyway, I put this conversation at the bottom now.SchAlternate (talk) 15:44, 12 July 2014 (EDT)
Added it to the list of colors, and removed the Light Blue color, as I can't find a source for it. Something to remember when making suggestions you should provide a source like this: http://www.gamespot.com/videos/e3-2014-super-smash-bros-for-3ds-greninja-single-p/2300-6419666/ Either way, thank you for noting this. Custom Up Special?

It's somewhat difficult to see, but I found in this video here a snippit of footage that shows one of Greninja's custom special moves, which appears to be an up special move with a blurry name. Looking at it in 720p it seems to be Sta___nt Shuriken? Possibly "Stagnant Shuriken"? I'm just putting it out there since I wasn't sure if people were aware of this or if it's worth adding. 71.51.98.53 13:47, 19 July 2014 (EDT)

Stagnant was the first thing that came to my mind. Can you please tell us the exact time in the video so I don't have to look through it?Qwerty da beast Nessytrewq.jpg 14:15, 19 July 2014 (EDT)

It was about 5:40 to the end when the results screen was visible. 71.51.98.53 16:28, 19 July 2014 (EDT) The name says "Stagnant Shuriken", although it says it's an up special it's really a neutral special. The E3 demo messed up on the neutral and side specials. The Smash Brotha (talk) 11:18, 28 July 2014 (EDT)

Yep. That definitely says stagnant shuriken. Something similar happened with Samus, with a custom "Melee Charge Shot" as an up special, rather than a neutral special. Ima just mark it as an up special like we did on Samus' page. Qwerty (talk) 12:36, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
I take it that means Charge Blaster isn't Fox's up special then. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 13:05, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
Yeah, it seems like the directions were mislabeled in the demo. Charge Blaster is probably just what it sounds like: a neutral special custom for Fox. I'm guessing Stagnant Shuriken is going to be similar to Mario's Fire Orb customization. Miles (talk) 10:54, 29 July 2014 (EDT)
You're right Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.png! The Smash Brotha (talk) 13:02, 29 July 2014 (EDT)

I'm not quite clear why you're pointing this out. We already have that translation in use. Miles (talk) 11:42, 1 September 2014 (EDT)
