Delete. Information regarding Pit's palette swap can easily be covered on the relevant page (or not at all; it reeks of original research and speculation), and information regarding his appearance in Palutena's reveal trailer is frankly not important enough to warrant an entire article; at best, a small blurb of some sort can be featured on background characters or a small sentence on either Pit's and/or Palutena's respective pages.

If Dark Pit is revealed as a character (as if!), he can have a page. But a palette swap that predates the character and a minor appearance in an unrelated reveal trailer aren't grounds for an entire article.

Support I agree; there's just not enough to warrant a page of his own yet. Berrenta (talk) 21:06, 15 June 2014 (EDT)
Support Per the above. blue ninjakoopa 21:56, 15 June 2014 (EDT)
Support Like the aforementioned supporters, Dark Pit is too little of a thing in Smash to make a stub on. Link PWNS (talk) 19:05, 18 June 2014 (EDT)

Support As has been said, this article is just filled with speculative fluff and nothing warrants him having a page. --EndGenuity (talk) 19:37, 18 June 2014 (EDT)

just wait for the next reveal video they are talking about other characters like Mewtwo and maybe other Ninco (maybe spelled wrong) guys like the addition on Pac-Man --Reshiram1105 (talk) 16:24, 20 June 2014 (EDT)

Where did you hear that? I don't remember hearing anything like that anywhere. Berrenta (talk) 16:29, 20 June 2014 (EDT)

Oppose. I can't consider this not notable enough when we also have a page on Dark Link, who also is little more than a palette swap or a simple model blackening in a few event matches. It's highly likely that Dark Pit will appear in the same capacity as the male Wii Fit Trainer as an alternate version of regular Pit, which is somewhat more significant than a minor model recoloring. At the very least, the whole "crash Palutena's party" thing from the trailer makes it hard to believe that he won't appear in the game in some way. Not exactly the kind of thing you just put in as a throwaway cameo.

The problem is the highly likely thing, and what you're considering notable. Dark Link has appeared in event matches because of his concept. This is more than just about every single other reskin of a character (bar Toon Link), because Dark Link was intentionally placed in these events to represent his relation to Link in the actual games. Dark Pit, on the other hand, has only appeared as a slight palette swap, while although he is "hinted" at having a bigger role in the Smash series, such a thing has yet to be confirmed, seeing as how he could just easily become another costume that's part of the whole, "we can change more than colors" thing that Nintendo is doing. In addition, this page can easily be recreated in the future if he actually does have a big role. MegaTron1XDDecepticon.png 16:57, 24 June 2014 (EDT)
