Bandai Namco Games Inc. (株式会社バンダイナムコゲームス, Kabushiki Gaisha Bandai Namuko Gēmusu) is an arcade, mobile and home video game developer and publisher based in Japan. It is a merge between the video game divisions of Bandai and Namco.
During the Nintendo Direct Broadcast on June 21, 2012, it was revealed that Bandai Namco will be the head developer for Super Smash Bros. 4, along with Sora Ltd.. Several items from some of Namco's games such as Galaga and Rally-X will appear in Super Smash Bros. 4.[1]
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Galagan Bugs, a type of enemy in Namco's Galaga series, as well the Special Flag, a collectable from numerous Namco games, appear in Super Smash Bros. 4. Their function is currently unknown, but they are presumably items or form a category of items.
