Forum:Who do you wanna see in Smash 4 (or beyond)
Brawl 4 is supposed to come out some time in the future, I don't really know. But that's not what this is about anyways, so who cares? Hey, depending on when you're reading this, it may have already been released! But again, that's not what this is for, so who really cares? ANYWAY, in case the forum title didn't give it away, this page is all about who YOU wanna see in Brawl 4, or 7, or whatever Smash game they're developing when you visit this page. Now, down to buisness!
Personally, I'd like to see Shadow the Hedgehog. I would like it though if they took more inspiration for his attacks, etc. from the game Shadow the Hedgehog. What are your opinions on this? LucariOWNED (talk) 07:19, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
- If you would like to submit a list of characters you would like to see, you can do so here. Awesome Cardinal 2000 08:40, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
- I thought that was a prediction game? Scr7 08:40, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
- I'll check and try that out. This page will stay up, though. Thanks. LucariOWNED (talk) 19:58, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
The fourth game is not called "Brawl 4"; Brawl is the subtitle of the third game, not the name of the series. Omega Tyrant 21:55, 4 August 2013 (EDT)
Regarding the prediction game, the object is to predict who you think will be in, not who you want to be in. You could technically pick who you want to be in, though if you do so you are pretty much guaranteed to score low.
Also regarding the OP's choice of a character, I think Shadow would be a terrible admission. He's essentially "Dark Sonic" in concept, and "Dark X" is a terrible concept for a separate character to include in a fighting game. Additionally, while normally I think "X would just be a clone of Y!" is terrible reasoning to exclude a character, I think it really does apply here to a degree, since Shadow's design and abilities are near identical to Sonic's (again, essentially being "Dark Sonic"). And I think if they were to add another Sonic character or two to the playable roster, Tails and Knuckles are much better choices; their popularity are comparable, their designs and abilities are more different from Sonic's, and they are more significant, especially to Nintendo (they were there during the Genesis days and were the characters paired with Sonic in dream fights with the Mario Bros., not Shadow). Keep Shadow as an assist trophy and maybe add a palette swap to Sonic to make him look like Shadow (like Captain Falcon with Blood Falcon), don't add him as a playable character. Zoroark is most likely coming in the new game. Or Mewthree, possibly. Whichever generation Nintendo wants to use.TheAtomicFire 14:40, 5 August 2013 (EDT)
I think Zoroark is last month's flavor, his popularity in the Pokemon fanbase faded quickly and more people are now petitioning for Mewtwo. Shadow the Hedgehog is just a big no, plain and simple. As for who I think will be in, I'm going for a mix of retro and modern Nintendo characters like Takamaru, Little Mac, Mach Rider, Duck Hunt Dog and Duck, Dillon, Shulk, and Wonder Red. --レ∆ㄅ 18:20, 5 August 2013 (EDT)
- I think that's a legit point about Zoroark, as its popularity didn't quite stick around and blew up as much as Lucario's. However, I still think it has a good chance of making it in, since it's still one of the more popular and recognisable pokemon, has a design that can fit well into Smash, and the lack of other viable pokemon (for arguably Nintendo's biggest series today) combined with the likely removal of the Pokemon Trainer. Omega Tyrant 18:59, 5 August 2013 (EDT)
- Personally, I wouldn't mind Zoroark, but I'd rather see Genesect if we get a Gen 5 poster boy. He's relatively popular and a bit more new (He was an event Pokemon, I believe) and has a movie coming up with Mewtwo. --レ∆ㄅ 00:04, 7 August 2013 (EDT)

Mr. Game & Watch would be nice, but if he's in it, I'm not surprised. Mr. Game & Watch is one of my best characters in brawl, so I hope that he doesn't get nerfed if he DOES appear. But since MG & W has been a veteran since Melee, and that he's a classic, he would most likely return. --LavaKirby 14:50, 12 August 2013 (EDT)
- I think he's pretty much certain to return; besides the historic factor, Sakurai loves his "unique" characters, and G&W is one of the best designed ones, while being one that doesn't cause any development/gameplay/space issues (such as Ice Climbers and Pokemon Trainer). A nerf is pretty possible, though not exactly probable, depends on if they're going to continue their buffing/nerfing patterns of the past games or if they're going to trying buffing everyone to the high tiers instead. Bowser Jr is really the only character I want to see in the game. Anyone else is just a treat for me as all of the best Nintendo and third party characters I think have already been picked in the past three games. --Water, Earth, Fire, Air (talk) 12:05, 13 August 2013 (EDT)
I really want MEWTWO to return with MEGA evolution :P --Reshiram 20:53, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
Even though I know it won't happen, King K. Rool and Krystal would be great characters in this game. --EpicWendigo (talk) 22:09, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- I suppose that they are quite popular within the fanbase wise but they are probably not famous Nintendo characters. Dots (talk) The Smasher 23:16, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- That only applies to Krystal, really. K. Rool is actually about as famous as Diddy Kong is, yet we haven't seen head or hair of him as a character. --EpicWendigo (talk) 23:33, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- Actually, now that I think about it, Sakurai is missing out on some serious opportunities. Just think of the movesets for these characters. --EpicWendigo (talk) 23:41, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- Since the Donkey Kong Country franchise was pretty popular back in the 90s, yeah, I would personally think King K. Rool has a chance of returning, I'm not sure how his popularity is doing within this generation however. Dots (talk) The Star Fox 23:45, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- That would be Retro Studios' fault. They not only did took the Kremlings and other Kongs out of the series, but they joked about it in a way that showed they didn't care about the older fans. Seeing as Miyamoto had an influence on the development of their games, I have a feeling I know who is responsible for all of this. Just listen to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKSNnkIyBN4 I don't fully agree with him, but he has a point. --EpicWendigo (talk) 23:53, 27 May 2014 (EDT)
- Isn't anyone going to comment on this? --EpicWendigo (talk) 00:07, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

Much as I'd love to have Groose or Mark Evans, I have a character with a realistic chance of being included... and a realistic chance of being cut. R.O.B. is widely considered boring, and the Robot universe is easily the least important in Smash. I was over the moon when Toon Link got in Smash 4, so why did I have to pick a different main who will get cut instead? Toast ltimatum 06:36, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
