Alphicans (Alfishins) is a Canadian smasher from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, who joined the competitive scene since the fall of 2007. At one point, he was ranked 25th on the CCSC Power Rankings. Alphicans is currently ranked 1st in Alberta for Melee and for Brawl. The name "Alphicans" is reference to his cat Alphie. Alphicans' favourite music involves Kpop. He is known to take his shirt off if you ask him.

The Level 9 Controversey
There was a tournament with exactly 31 players. In order to fill the bracket, instead of placing a bye, a level 9 cpu was entered into the bracket instead. Now Alphicans played this level 9 CPU first round. While it was hard fought, the cpu beat Alphicans. However Alphicans did end up advancing, even though he lost. It's not really known why he advanced but there is one possibility. Rumor has it that Alphicans bullied the TO into letting him into the next round, completely abusing his power. He may think we forgot but we remember. Never forget.
The existence of "Alfishins"
Alphicans has many rivals, it's just who he is. However in a midst all of his enemies, his greatest enemy, is himself. The start of this rivalry began at Genesis 2. Alphicans was playing against Japanese player Rain. In the middle of the match notable top player Esam joined in on commentary. What was said next will never be forgotten. "Alfishins fishing for that kill". The rest was history. That spawned the existence of Alfishins, and he still lives even today. It is often wondered which of the two are the better player.
The Skype Chat, Trojan Horse Rebirth
Alberta has a chat group on skype. They are very prideful on having only Albertans and people who used to live in Alberta. Those in the chat say it is the garden of Eden in which all of us regular folk will never get in. However there exists 2 people who broke into that Eden. Those 2 people ate the apple and lived as few men dare to dream. Big D and Jason entered the sacred chat by disguising themselves together as an Albertan. With a little perseverance, the two were added to the chat. Who added them in? None other than Alphicans, the gatekeeper of Eden. They went in, they stole the fruit, and shared their newly acquired wisdom with the world. Alberta was not pleased with their Skype chat dirtied by those not of the master race. Since then the gates of Alberta have been closed.
