- Tortimer Island is confirmed to be a stage in the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4. Additionally, Villager is confirmed to be in the 3DS version.

- Bumpers are confirmed to be returning as items in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. 4. Additionally, Flippers have been confirmed not to be returning.

- Dedenne is confirmed to appear in a non-playable capacity in Super Smash Bros. 4.

- Waluigi is confirmed to return as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. 4.
