Scar, the self-proclaimed Most Electrifying Man in Smash today (a reference to former WWE superstar wrestler The Rock), is a Captain Falcon main originally from Philadelphia, but he now lives in NorCal where he is ranked 12th on the NorCal Melee Power Rankings.
Gameplay and Tournament Activity
Scar started playing Melee in early 2007, meeting Cactuar, Pakman, and other Philadelphia players somewhat randomly. With Cactuar becoming his primary training partner, Scar enjoyed many of the perks of being a pro vicariously, and his intense dedication to the game resulted in his quick rise from obscurity.
Perhaps another reason for Scar's prominence is his masterful use of propaganda and branding. He has shamelessly self-promoted since the release of his first combo video, I Killed Mufasa. The video's success propelled him to what was then an undeserved level of recognition, and "catching up to his reputation" became one of Scar's most important goals.
Since then, Scar has become known as one of the best Captain Falcon professionals in America. He is also a co-founder of the crew "The Mini-Bosses." Scar has further cemented his ranking as one of the best Falcon players after placing 6th at Genesis, higher than any other Falcon player there. He recently moved to northern California and defeated another top-ranked Falcon, Silent Spectre, in a money match at his first northern California tourney, R3.
