The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Mega Man (ロックマン, Rockman) is a character from the eponymous Mega Man series by Capcom. He was announced as a playable character for Super Smash Bros. 4 in the E3 2013 Nintendo Direct.

Mega Man has been confirmed as a playable character. He will be able to use copied abilities from Robot Masters that he fought in his series.

Trivia

  • Mega Man, Link, Snake, Donkey Kong, and Sonic are the only fighters to appear in fighting game outside of the Smash series. Mega Man appeared in the Marvel vs. Capcom series as well as Mega Man - The Power Battle and its sequel Mega Man 2 - The Power Fighters, making him the second character in a fighting game of his series (the first being Sonic).
  • Mega Man is the first third-party character in the Super Smash Bros. series to have debuted on a Nintendo system, doing so on the NES in the game Mega Man.
  • Mega Man is the 2nd character in Super Smash Bros. to appear on a mobile platform. the other being Sonic. Ironically, they are both third parties.
