SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Start-up time, commonly referred to as start-up lag, is the delay that a character has before the first hitbox of an attack comes out to hit the opponent. In essence, this is the time between pressing the button and getting a result. Fox and Falco's Shine (Melee only), as well as Jigglypuff's Rest, have the least start-up time of any move at 1 frame. The move with the most start-up lag in the Smash games is Ganondorf's up tilt, because it sucks characters in before being executed. Flinching during startup time will prevent the move from being executed.
