my reasoning[edit]

The thing about non-SSB art on Assist Trophy articles is that it shows what they look like in the games the respective characters were taken from. Slippy's art in Star Fox 3D is completely irrelevant. Toomai and Miles became interested in making playable character articles here no longer limited to the Smash Universe, so more recent artwork of the characters was uploaded and I reluctantly agreed not to remove it anymore. But with characters like Slippy, who is a very, very, minor character mind you, the artwork policy can't apply. It doesn't apply to Pokemon, either. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 22:22, 16 July 2012 (EDT)

I follow your thinking, and I agree that art from an older Star Fox game might be more appropriate. I've also uploaded a file which is more relevant to Slippy's appearance in Brawl. Coincidentally, it was first uploaded by you to Star Fox Wikia. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 02:17, 17 July 2012 (EDT)
So we should use older artwork just because Slippy isn't very important in Brawl? I disagree. We have modern artwork of Toad and Piranha Plant too, Slippy can keep his artwork. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 03:46, 17 July 2012 (EDT)
@Mousehunter: I can agree to official Assault artwork of Slippy being used. @ToastUltimatum: Those articles don't need those images... They're irrelevant. I'll move to take down those images eventually, we've gone through this kind of thing before and it was agreed that masterpieces and playable character articles are the only ones who can keep recent artwork. Otherwise, we'd have to have artwork for every single Pokemon appearing in the Smash Bros. games. Also, you are in no place to decide what stays and what goes. If I want to remove something I remove it, take it to the talk page if it's met with opposition to state my reasoning, and the situation gets taken care of like that. At what point did I make a final decision? I am on a talk page, so I am waging my opinion. If I was to be as outward as you claim, I would have just changed the image on the page, but note that I did not do so.
