Smashwiki

I've been editing this place since October of 2009. Yeah. Back when Wikia was cool, "Smashwikia" instantly impressed me with its extensive and detailed articles. Having recently picked up Brawl I decided to join you people. Needless to say it's been pretty good meeting some fellow smash brothers via the irc channel and talk pages. Joining the project even opened me up to some other wikis, including Donkey Kong Wiki, my other main wiki (which you should tots check out).

I earned Rollback powers on Smashwiki November 30th the same year I joined. I regained it January 28th of 2012 due to the move. Currently content with the power I have though I'd be willing to step up when necessary. Nowadays I pop in and out of activity.

Personal Info

  • Male, teenager, tall, thin. Stop asking for a pic of me, it creeps me out.
  • Grew up playing Donkey Kong Country and Street Fighter II on Super Nintendo. And a little Mortal Kombat, but it was too hard for me. Even nowadays, going on "Normal" in the original version is hell.
  • Systems: Wii (w/ all three smash games), PS2, Xbox 360. I have XBox Gold, gamertag GhostEye007. The 'tag is a combo of a character from Ace Combat 6 and James Bond.

  • Favorite foods: Pizza, Chinese food, Oreos, Smores Poptarts, Popcorn.

  • Favorite movies: Spirited Away, Wreck It Ralph, The Dark Knight Rises, Sinister, Taken

Smash 4 Wishlist

  • An online feature that doesn't make the Dreamcast's online look like Xbox Live.
    • With all seriousness, by now we're all sick of 2 minute free for alls for public matches. Also, kick out friend codes. If you're rating the game "T" remember your target audience. That teenager probably uses the luxury of a friend request on the other two main competitors.
      • I understand Sakurai not wanting leaderboards and using Mic communication. With all honesty, a leaderboard would turn into a "Who has the better hack" competition much like any other online game, and I don't want to hear the five year old cry over a mic.
  • A public beta? Give us one stage and a handful of characters to test it out.
  • Hats A little more character distinction between costumes like Melee. Pichu's gear was a good example.
  • A Donkey Kong stage with the series' awesome music, and isn't the worst stage in the game. I'm looking at you, Rumble Falls.
  • Allow patches and DLC. Don't play dumb with us, Nintendo, we know about New Super Mario Bros. 2's free DLC treatment, so, why not other games?
  • Much like Brawl, in the game's prime, it completely ignored any innovation gimmicks on the console in question and was still a good game. Or at least, utilizing motion controls was completely optional and was so atrocious you're glad its off as default.
  • Either make the Masterpiece demos longer or don't feature them.
  • Ability to record matches longer than five seconds.
    • Ability to send records/pictures to the internet from the Wii U.
  • Ok, hats, not joking this time.

Super Smash Bros. Games

Brawl

Brawl was the first game of the Smash Bros. series that I actually owned. I got used to the controls and adjusted to a few mains. Believe it or not, I use the Wiimote and Nunchuck for Brawl. As opposed to the other 99% percent of the wiki that worship the GC controller (I am the 1%?). Anyway, I plowed through the SSE and then moved on to the multiplayer aspects. Regarding mains, I started out maining Ike. My next major main after that was Game & Watch. Nowadays my primary character is Captain Falcon. Fox and Falco are typical secondaries for me. As of the now, I'm non-competitive and mainly do what few tournaments I partake in via the convenience of Wifi.

It's easily my favorite Smash Bros. game, and I'd consider my self pretty good. If you want to brawl me (and somehow totally missed my smasherbeta) my code is 5069-9172-4474. Feel free to ask me either on my talk or (preferably) on IRC.


MEEEELLEEEEEEEEEE

My second game that I owned. I used to play this often at my friend's house when we were younger. This and Double Dash, those were the days, man. Anyway, as Nintendo's first naughty "T" game, I say it's one of the best for the Gamecube, despite the disc being about the same size as a PSP game. I've stuck with Falcon here as well. He's just so enjoyable to play as. Overall, despite being horridly broken I consider Melee the "fun" game of the series. So many timeless moments and over the topness. Hours of fun. Honestly deserves to be the best selling GC game. It still has charm and the intro part with Sheik gets me every time.


Smash 64

Always a classic. I have faint memories of playing this game when I was much younger. Now I got it via WiiWare. It's a great game for its time, even if 90% percent of the effects were in 2D. Hard to believe how a game released in 1999 introduced such unique concepts started a series strong to this day.
