Congratulations on Rollback!
The fact that it passed aside, in doing that RfR and being able to take someone's advice when they advise against something you had planned on, which is not an easy thing to do, you have earned my respect. :) DoctorPain99 {ROLLBACKER} 23:17, 27 January 2012 (EST)
- Gee, thanks. I wasn't sure that I would pass, because of previously mentioned reasons. Is it true that rollbackers can suppress redirects when moving pages? Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 23:24, 27 January 2012 (EST)
- Unfortunately, no. Only admins can. DoctorPain99 {ROLLBACKER} 23:46, 27 January 2012 (EST)
Image deletion
When an image is deleted, a version is automatically archived, but only admins can see it. For example, the old HungryBox image can be found here. You can't see it, because you don't have the required user rights, but trust me, that's the image I deleted five minutes ago. That means that, if we ever need the image again, an admin can just undelete the page, or go to that URL and save the image to their computer, then upload it again. You don't need to be re-uploading images tagged for deletion to archive them. PenguinofDeath 16:26, 29 January 2012 (EST)

- Just keep in mind that sometimes blank fields in an infobox are kept to be filled in once more information is available. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 20:44, 30 January 2012 (EST)
Friendly tip
Yes, you should remove red links to deleted files, but it's also courteous to also link in any replacement images for the file (i.e. the new Multiman Mode pic). --Havoc48 >:D!!! 19:56, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- I usually do link in replacement images when moving files/removing redlinks, but in your case, I didn't know what the new image name was. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 22:35, 3 February 2012 (EST)
No
How nobody noticed this I don't know, but you using rollback on Dot's Smasher page edits (you know, when he was removing blank fields) was unacceptable. Rollback is for vandalism only, and that wasn't vandalism. I assume you did it to get the job done faster, but don't do it again, as it is misuse of rollback. BlindColours 20:46, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- As you assumed, I used rollback to get the job done faster. The reason no one commented on it was because it was not a misuse of rollback. (Unless you're suggesting that everyone missed my 20+ consecutive edits that were in bolded green due to the high number of characters). I was following the spirit of SW:ROLL, not the letter. Additionally, I explained my edits on Dots' talk page. I would suggest you find something else to do besides berate users about their actions on this wiki. The majority of your past 50 edits have been to talk pages, the Smash Arena, or other minor edits. And frankly, couldn't you come up with a better section title? "No" isn't descriptive at all, and makes you sound more pugnacious than you are. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 22:16, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- My 50 most recent edits have little relevance to anything. I'm not as active as I once was so I don't do much, and when I do, it's nothing major. Also, how are you "following" the "spirit" of SW:ROLL? And I don't really care about what you think about the section title.BlindColours 22:29, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- Mousehunter explained to Dots the fault with the edits before he rollbacked them. And really, the only issue with using rollback on non vandal edits is that you don't have access to the edit summary to explain the fault with the edit. As the explanation was made, there was really no issue with Mousehunter using rollback in those edits. Omega Tyrant 22:59, 3 February 2012 (EST)
- You two guys have been getting into a fair amount of disputes lately. Blindcolors, while I disagree with Mousehunter's claim that you have an overly large amount of talk page edits, it may be best that you leave him alone for now. It's fine for you to raise concerns about rollback use, but I think the way you approached this was a bit too aggressive. Remember to try and see things from Mousehunter's point of view, and consider the fact that those rollback uses took up a large amount of recent changes, so it is likely that Dots himself and the admins here had little problem. Thanks for tagging those! I'm about to head to dinner, so either another admin can swoop in while I'm out or I'll get 'em when I get back. Miles (talk) 18:49, 9 February 2012 (EST)
- No problem! Those early SmashWiki(di)ans would probably look back and realize that it was more efficient to merge trophy info into the subject's article, instead of creating a whole separate page. If SmashWiki is still around in say, ten years, I wonder what the editors then will think of how we do things today. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 18:57, 9 February 2012 (EST)
- What's your method for finding all these (trophy) pages? I was thinking I could start deleting from the back end while you work on the front end (less +d edits in total). Toomai Glittershine The Interspacial 19:14, 9 February 2012 (EST)

Could you please please tag redirects for deletion above the redirect link? Otherwise they still redirect while tagged, which makes them more of a hassle to track down. Miles (talk) 20:46, 13 February 2012 (EST)
Okay. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 20:52, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- Please don't tag a page or an image for deletion until after you've altered pages not to link to it any further. Miles (talk) 21:55, 18 February 2012 (EST)
- Are you referring to the user pages I marked for deletion? They were redirects to smasher pages that did not have an associated user talk page and did not have any page link to them. Those with user talk pages I did not mark. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 21:57, 18 February 2012 (EST)

redlinks
I've seen you remove some, but you have quite a few on your page. Wouldn't it be better to remove the links until the pages are actually made? Kid Iclaus! 00:14, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- It's better to keep a list so you can easily remember what Smasher page you need to research and make later on. 108.194.146.241 01:14, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- Lists? I was only asking if the red links should be removed, not the list itself. The Smasher names can stay, but the links shouldn't.Kid Iclaus! 02:38, 14 February 2012 (EST)
- Mousehunter has it this way so that, if ever he wanted to make one of these articles, he could just click the link on his page, and he's on his way. By listing them as redlinks, it also allows users other than Mousehunter to make the page themselves if they so choose. Toast ltimatum 06:07, 14 February 2012 (EST)
- Mousehunter removes redlinks because they mess up Special:Wantedpages. However, redlinka are perfectly fine if they are to an article that may warrant creation in the future. Hence, Mousehunter keeps a list of OK redlinks so that wantedpages actually shows the right pages. Mr. Anontalk 18:59, 14 February 2012 (EST)

- Before you go and start hunting these pages down, I'd like to point out something that you might not have noticed: no edit to a deleted page will be counted in your edit count. You'll briefly inflate your editcount, but once Miles rolls around with the delete hammer...you'll end up disappointed. Anyways, I'm using Special:Allpages. The image
The image is hacked since the player in the image has just spent at least one coin winning a new trophy yet still has the maximum amount. An editor of the Lottery page wanted the image replaced because of this, yet when I uploaded the new version it didn't change. Do you have any thoughts on this? 123JamesHeart 20:07, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
- Oh, I see now. But could you upload a higher quality version? Your version with Toad looked a bit blurry. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 20:31, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
- It looks like that's the highest quality I can get. 123JamesHeart 21:00, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
- Well, I guess the thing to do is to keep your version and tag it as low quality until someone else can upload another version. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 21:16, 9 April 2012 (EDT)
- It looks like that's the highest quality I can get. 123JamesHeart 21:00, 9 April 2012 (EDT)

Quick question
How were you able to edit this image? When I tried to edit the image, I was unable to because it said that it was protected. ..... The Cutest 18:42, 25 April 2012 (EDT)
- The image was previously included on User:Zeldasmash, which was protected by cascading protection. Basically, this means that any file on his page is also protected. I had PenguinofDeath change the Mewtwo icon for the new Mewtwo icon, so the old file can now be edited, but the new one now cannot. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 19:44, 25 April 2012 (EDT)
Question
Why did you replace the Japanese on my page with ??? ? I see no reason for you to do that. BlindColours 19:05, 26 April 2012 (EDT)
- I was replacing the old character icons with the new ones. Unfortunately, my text editor didn't recognize the Japanese characters, so it replaced them with "???". I apologize for the inconvenience. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 23:06, 26 April 2012 (EDT)
"Max 3 redirects per smasher"
This isn't something I remember hearing about before. Where's it from? Toomai Glittershine Le Grand Fromage 13:19, 7 July 2012 (EDT)
- I think that it was an old policy, but I remember it being mentioned on at least one smasher talk page. I marked Nobi for deletion mainly because I didn't see it mentioned in the smasher article. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 13:56, 7 July 2012 (EDT)
