The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Super Metroid is the third installament in the Metroid series developed by Nintendo, but is placed chronologically as the seventh game in the series. The game appears on the SNES, Virtual Console, and a 3 minute Masterpiece within the game Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

In Super Smash Bros.
Samus' Charge Shot comes from Super Metroid, along with her Grapple Beam.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
While the Brinstar Depths stage technically came from the original Metroid, its appearance comes from Super Metroid, as Kraid appears in his giant form. In addition, Samus' homing missiles come from Super Metroid.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
A remix of the music from the ending credits from this game can he heard while playing on the Norfair stage. Ridley's theme also originates from this game. On the Frigate Orpheon stage, a heavy metal version of Ridley's theme can be heard. It also plays when Ridley or Meta Ridley is seen in the Subspace Emissary mode.
