Old Stuff[edit]

I can't say I'm confortable with having Sheik and Ganondorf in the template already; the interview stated how their character designs were submitted to Sakurai for Brawl, but does that mean he actually used them? :D Obviously it's likely they'll be in there, so the existence of their separate articles are just fine, but if we haven't seen any images of them yet I would support holding off on putting them in the template itself until they are seen, and just rely on the categories. Well the way I see it, you are right. But at the same time, Sakurai wouldn't make character designs if they aren't going to be in Brawl. Until someone, or Sakurai himself, denies Eiji's statement, it's almost official. But at the same time, it isn't said if those two will be playable, AT, or just background characters. I'll admit, I was too hasty to put an article on those two. I disagree, however, on the images part. If Sonic was confirmed by Miyamoto today, does that mean that it's not official until there's an image of him? On the contrary, I shouldn't have added those articles without discussions, I'll apologize for that. Remove them from the templates, but for the articles, I don't know just yet. Who even knows if these two are playable? I mean, of course it's likely, but what if, say, Sakurai uses the Sheik model, but it's only for an Assist Trophy? I'm a bit iffy on these guys even having profiles right now because even though Aounoma practically said they'd be in the game, he didn't say they'd be playable in the game. -Thores 16:55, August 3, 2007 (EDT)

Recruiting[edit]

OK all who are willing. I need lots of help. I need all the moveset to look all alike. I need people willing to help! If you choose to accept this challenge, use Meta Knight's moveset as a perfect example. If you want to help the cause, leave your username under the category on my userpage called "Recruiting". This message is also their. Let's fix these movesets. --Oxico (talk) 20:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Scrapped Characters[edit]

Should we include a 'removed characters' row to this section? It could include the articles Mewtwo (SSBB) and Roy (SSBB), as well as the articles like Toon Zelda & Sheik if they aren't getting deleted. Either put them there, or they could get their own separate template. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 13:29, 26 November 2011 (EST)

That would work. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 13:30, 26 November 2011 (EST)
Oppose There is no official confirmation these characters were indeed planned but scrapped, so such a template would be speculation. Plus, I see no use for such a template. Also, that Toon Zelda article is going to be deleted. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 13:33, 26 November 2011 (EST)
I suggested a separate template because when on the new Mewtwo (SSBB) article, I felt there needed to be a way to link it to Roy (SSBB). Perhaps just a 'See Also' section, then? Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 13:35, 26 November 2011 (EST)
If those articles are kept, they should just link to the Beta elements article and its scrapped characters section. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 13:42, 26 November 2011 (EST)
Alternatively, since the Beta elements article is quite large, we could create another article called "[Scrapped Characters]" and list the characters there. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 13:50, 26 November 2011 (EST)
I would agree with that. Though the article would be better under a name like Cancelled Characters, Unfinished Characters, Unused Character Data or Beta Characters. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatumTransparent Swadloon.png 13:52, 26 November 2011 (EST)
No Beta Characters! BlindColours Boing.png 14:11, 26 November 2011 (EST)
