I'm 18 years old and from Australia. I am more active on Youtube and on the Homestar Runner Wiki, both of where I use this same username.

My History with SSB

SSB64

The first time I ever played the original Smash Bros was shortly after it was released where I live. I was 6 years old at the time. I remember playing exactly one match, and I remember that I played as Mario.

The first time I really played the game was three years later, when I frequently borrowed it from my neighbour. However, I also had a friend from school who had unlocked Ness; as I had trouble unlocking him on my neighbour's copy of the game, I was anxious to go to my friend's house and see. I even remember going straight to his house after school just for a quick look, but ended up causing somewhat of a surprise.

However, I finally owned the original SSB for myself in 2005, shortly after my 12th birthday.

Melee

The first time I ever played Melee was in late 2002. I played several matches with my younger brother at the house of a teenage girl who took me on trips at that time.

I first actually owned Melee for Christmas 2004. Since my Gamecube did not have a memory card at the time, I had to leave it on for over a month. It was eventually turned off, but I finally got a memory card. And I must say, my history in the special messages is quite impressive. I started off in April 2005 and finally got all the trophies (with Crazy Hand, the toughest one, being the last) in June 2011.

Brawl

My younger brother got Brawl shortly after Christmas 2008. Since I was somewhat of a basher of the Wii at the time, I refused to play it. But I finally gave in after a couple of months. However, I did not actively start playing Brawl until about two years later. I'm still not as much a fan of it as I am the other two Smash games. For example, in 64 and Melee, every character was easy to get used to quickly. And even if you haven't played either 64 or Melee, the returning characters in Brawl are much easier to get used to than the newcomers (yes, I personally find the newcomers very hard to get used to). Also, I've noticed that in Brawl, every character has a much stronger personality than they do in their own games - I kinda like it when the characters have no personality to speak of.
