Is this a beta element?

In the origional trailer for Brawl, In the background of the vid i could see kirby using hammer in brawl. But, however, it was the ariel hammer from melee, where he spins it vertically spins it, and not the one where he spins horizontally in the current brawl. I have no idea how to add images...

I can't seem to locate a beta Melee trailer without the E3.Nintendo.com watermark, though. : / Same for the Nintendo World trailer featuring Fox with a blaster.
