KO Stars

KO Stars (also called Knockout Stars) are an "award" for KOing an opponent in the VS. Mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee. The game allows you to only have 255 KO Stars at a time, any KO's achieved after this will not give you a KO Star. KO Star's cannot be kept permanently, and are mainly given to you to show how many opponents you have defeated. If you exit VS. Mode or you change your screenname when you have any, you lose any KO Stars you have earned.
