The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Jouske (丈助) is a well-renowned Smash 64 player from Hokkaidō, Japan, with his former dominance in his home country being one which spans multiple years. He is also one of the largest contributors to Samus's metagame. Although he has not entered a formal tournament since 2016, he is still considered one of the greatest Smash 64 players of all time, despite only competing in Japan. He is well known for his mastery of spacing, flow-charting, and combo game with Samus, and has remained as an inspiration for Samus players universally.
While he has attempted to remain withdrawn from the spotlight, his dedication to the character is one idolized by many, and his picture is in circulation despite his best efforts. His proclamation for others to travel to him to prove their worth is one taken seriously by players such as SuPeRbOoMfAn and Isai as both have travelled and lost in twelve character battles (a format of the game recognised as the best determinant of skill).
History
Jouske's wins include the Kanto Smash 64 tournaments in 2009, 2012, and 2013, and a 200 person online tournament known as Smash 64 Spring Online Tournament. He is also the first player in the world to have won a 12 character battle against Isai, and the only player for many years until Kurabba at Super Smash Con 2023. Against SuPeRbOoMfAn, he has a winning record of 3-0 in 12 character battles in the US version, and a 1-1 record in 12 character battles in the Japanese version.
Following a 2nd place finish at Kansai 2015, Jouske announced on his Twitter he would enter a temporary hiatus period, which lasted for 1 month.
