This article is about idle poses in Super Smash Bros. Melee. For general information, see idle pose.

The following is a list of idle poses in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Bowser[edit]

  • Rears his head back and roars, similar to his taunt.

Captain Falcon[edit]

  • Thrusts his fist out in a battle pose.
  • Thrusts his elbow out in a battle pose.

Donkey Kong[edit]

  • Leans inwards. He does not have a unique idle pose; his default animation plays continuously.

Dr. Mario[edit]

  • Performs a cervical exercise known as a neck roll.

Falco[edit]

  • Turns to the side and waves his hand in front of his face.

Fox[edit]

  • Looks to his right, twitching his ears.

Ganondorf[edit]

  • Puts his hands together, then brings one over his head in a circular motion.

Ice Climbers[edit]

  • Hoist their hammers over their shoulders. They do not have a unique idle pose; their default animation plays continuously.

Jigglypuff[edit]

  • Turns to face the other way. It does not have a unique idle pose; its default animation plays continuously.

Kirby[edit]

  • Jumps in place to look the other way, then returns to normal.

Link[edit]

  • Holds his sword and shield at the ready. He does not have a unique idle pose; his default animation plays continuously.

Luigi[edit]

  • Scratches the back of his head.

Mario[edit]

  • Adjusts his cap.

Marth[edit]

  • Brushes his hair out of his face.

Mewtwo[edit]

  • Raises its hand in a beckoning gesture.
  • Brings its hands to its chest, then spreads them.

Mr. Game & Watch[edit]

  • Looks behind him with his mouth open.

Ness[edit]

  • Looks from side to side. He does not have a unique idle pose; his default animation plays continuously.

Peach[edit]

  • Puts her hands together and stretches.
  • Inspects her ring.
  • Brushes her hair.

Pichu[edit]

  • Looks from side to side while bouncing.
  • Turns to face either side while wiggling.

Pikachu[edit]

  • Scratches its ear then turns to the right then the left, while twitching its ears. It does not have a unique idle pose; its default animation plays continuously.

Roy[edit]

  • Leans inward. His idle pose has an almost identical animation to his default animation, with just his hand being slightly offset.

Samus[edit]

  • Holds her arm cannon at the ready, which is her standing animation in Super Metroid. She does not have a unique idle pose; her default animation plays continuously.

Sheik[edit]

  • Holds her hand up to her face and swipes it away. She does not have a unique idle pose; her default animation plays continuously.

Yoshi[edit]

  • Looks from side to side. He does not have a unique idle pose; his default animation plays continuously.

Young Link[edit]

  • Kicks the toes of his boots on the ground, as if knocking off the dirt. Based on one of his idle animations from Ocarina of Time.
  • Looks around himself. Based on one of his idle animations from Ocarina of Time.

Zelda[edit]

  • Flips her hair back.
  • Holds her hand to her chin in contemplation.
  • Turns away, holding her left arm with her right hand.

Male Wire Frame[edit]

  • Thrusts his fist out in a battle pose, the same as Captain Falcon.
  • Thrusts his elbow out in a battle pose, like Captain Falcon

Female Wire Frame[edit]

  • Flips her hair back like Zelda.
  • Holds her hand to her chin in contemplation, as Zelda does.
  • Turns away, holding her left arm with her right hand, identical to Zelda's.
  • Holds her left arm with her right hand and looks down. Unique to Female Wire Frame.

Giga Bowser[edit]

  • A more bestial version of Bowser's. Rears his head back and roars, expelling steam.
