Kyokkan 7 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate superregional tournament held in Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan, on September 8th, 2024.

Tournament summary[edit]

Maister was originally scheduled to attend the tournament but due to his B&B cancelling his reservation he had to drop out.

The tournament was won by Gorioka (2nd seed). Gorioka reached Winner Finals by defeating Takochoco (31st seed) 3-2, TK (18th seed) 3-2, Tas (7th seed) 3-2, and Futari no Kiwami Ah~! (6th seed) 3-1. In Winner Finals he would face Raru (1st seed). Raru reached Winner Finals by defeating Sabinuki (32nd seed) 3-0, kazuhito (16th seed) 3-1, jyo1 (25th seed) 3-0, and Raki (4th seed) 3-1.

Gorioka would win the Winners Finals set by defeating Raru 3-1. Raru would defeat Futari no Kiwami Ah~! 3-1, in Loser Finals. Raru would win the runback against Gorioka, 3-1, but would lose the final set to Gorioka, 2-3.

jyo1, san kottu (39th seed), and yubiwa (53rd seed) had significant runs. jyo1 placed 7th by upsetting DieGorou (8th seed), Yama (19th seed), and SUZUNE (24th seed). son kottu finished 9th after upsetting Netan (26th seed) in pools and Urusaki (23rd seed), SUZUNE and tama (15th seed) in top 64. Finally, yubiwa placed 17th after upsetting NaNo (12th seed) in pools and Marcos (28th seed) in top 64. yubiwa, while accomplished online, was seeded low due to rarely competing offline.

After Shion (27th seed) was upset by kaiki (28th seed) in pools, Shion would win 6 sets in losers in order to finish 9th. Shion notably beat Crete (17th seed), NaNo, TK and DieGorou.
