Forums: Index Proposals Zero Suit Samus, Ike, and Lucario Brawl Non-Clone Clarification

Hi there! I think we should add the following blurb to the Clones page under Trivia or Brawl > Notes. I’ve heard these misconceptions from more casual fans before, so I think it would be smart acknowledging these similarities, especially to make it clear the wiki page is not incomplete. The only problem is I can’t make the edit myself because I’m not an established user yet.

  • When Zero Suit Samus, Ike, and Lucario were introduced in Brawl, many casual fans believed them to be clones of Samus, Marth, and Mewtwo respectively due to them being from the same franchise and having similar animations for a few moves. Beyond these few similar moves, these characters do not share any other moves with their counterpart and thus do not qualify even as pseudo-clones.
    • Samus and Zero Suit Samus’ only similar moves are their neutral special, and grab
    • Marth and Ike’s only similar moves are their forward smash, down smash, forward aerial, and down special
    • Mewtwo and Lucario’s only similar moves are their forward tilt, up tilt, and neutral special
