The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Tripping
From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
Tripping is a new technique in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, first discovered by Zauron. It seems to occur when a character is dashing in one direction, then suddenly tries to move in the other (or poorly times a dashdance); the character stumbles, falls over, and rolls to get back on their feet. It can also apparently be done out of an idle stance. A related technique is the trip cancel; when turning around, before tripping, an attack can be used to cancel the trip.
Tripping is a tentative name; it is also known as "stumbling", "ink dropping" (after Smasher Inkslinger), "pivoting" or various other names. Since it is unconfirmed, a Smash Bros. DOJO!! update concerning it may be posted, giving it an official name.
