Thunders is a West Japan Fox player who is known for playing technically and possessing extremely fast fingers back in the 04-07 smash era. He is also famous for being able to recover with Luigi's Luigi Cyclone at full height. He is also capable of performing the very difficult double shine. He competed at his prime with Masashi for the title of the best for in Japan. He also invented the Thunder's Combo back in 2005, a useful reset combo. in Smash 64, he was one of the best Kirby players in the very early metagame.

Thunders also goes by the gamer tag "コト" and was ranked 2nd in the first period of the Kansai Ranking Battles, and 14th in the second period.

After seemingly disappearing from the scene he came back to playing under the tag "KOTO" in 2019 debuting at Battle GateWay 24 with a 13th place finish. He was formerly ranked 19th on the Japan SSBM Rank 2019.

For work related reasons, Thunders moved to Ohio for a year from October 2022 to November 2023. He debuted at Rubesday 188 with a 5th place finish. He is currently ranked 5th on the SSBM S1 Cincinnati Power Rankings.
