The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Flame Nova (フレイムノヴァ, Flame Nova) is Pyra's neutral special move.
Overview
The attack consists of Pyra twirling her blade around her, similar to the Spin Attack from The Legend of Zelda franchise and Spin Slash from the Kirby franchise, hitting multiple times, ending in a final explosion. The button can be held to charge up the move, which increases both the power and number of the blade's hits. Uncharged Flame Novas causes the blade to rotate around Pyra once, while fully charged versions performs three full rotations. Much like Eruption, the player cannot cancel the charge, and must commit to using the full charge. The player can also slightly move left or right on the ground while the move is activated.

Origin
Flame Nova is Pyra's Level 1 Special in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. In the original game, the move was more emphasized on the final blast, rather than the spinning of the sword.
