Photon Edge (フォトンエッジ, Photon Edge) is Mythra's side special move.
Overview[edit]
When used, Mythra dashes forward, teleporting five times and slashing each time she reappears, similar to Sephiroth's Octaslash. If the move is used on the ground by an edge, she will not fall off. However, she will be helpless after the move if it is used in the air.
Despite the move's erratic appearance, Mythra's hurtbox does not move alongside her images, but moves forward in a straight line. The slashes themselves boast significant horizontal and vertical reach in front of Mythra, compounded by her own forward movement during the attack, but the move has a very high amount of ending lag and will not grab the ledge until the slashes are complete when used for recovery. These factors make Photon Edge very vulnerable to projectiles, punishes, and aerial attacks from above or below, leaving her wide open if she fails to hit an opponent.

Origin[edit]
Photon Edge is Mythra's Level 2 Special in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and one of her Vanguard Arts in Torna ~ The Golden Country. Like in Smash, Mythra teleports five times to slash.
