Deletion[edit]

Support I was actually kind of thinking that it's a little silly to have this as well. That said, do we need Kirby Team and Yoshi Team? Serpent SKSig.png King 01:51, 4 May 2017 (EDT)

I would think so. They're a bit more notable than this page, at the very least. Black Vulpine (talk) 01:53, 4 May 2017 (EDT)
I think we should keep those, since they at least involve mechanics more akin to Multi-Man enemies. This is basically a team battle identical to those in normal multiplayer. Miles (talk) 02:00, 4 May 2017 (EDT)

Support, per Miles. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 23:05, 4 May 2017 (EDT)

Neutral, leaning toward support It is a somewhat notable and common thing in the classic modes, but Serp and Miles do bring up a good point. Penro 23:37, 4 May 2017 (EDT)

Support, did we ever need this? Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 07:39, 5 May 2017 (EDT)

Neutral, leaning toward oppose. Oppose. If we get rid of this, the validity of the aforementioned Kirby Team and Yoshi Team pages need to be called into question, and, in my opinion, the Giant Donkey Kong and Giant Bowser pages. I mean, aren't they also just normal multiplayer enemies with an additional quirk that appear in single player modes of the earlier Smash games? The Mario Bros. are a set opponent that appear every time you play the SP Mode in Smash 64, much like Metal Mario. John John3637881 Signature.png HUAH! 14:22, 5 May 2017 (EDT)

I'd say Metal Mario and Giant Donkey Kong deserve pages because they're unique in Smash 64, since the Metal Box and Super Mushroom don't exist. This page, though... can't say I'd miss it. Zyrac sig.png Zyrac(talkcontribs) 14:43, 5 May 2017 (EDT)
What about Giant Bowser? Super Mushroom was in Melee, so it isn't like Giant Bowser is anything special other than being a guaranteed opponent in a single player mode, much like the Mario Bros. John John3637881 Signature.png HUAH! 13:30, 14 May 2017 (EDT)
He does have "final boss" status going for him, but eh, I wouldn't object to that one being deleted. Zyrac sig.png Zyrac(talkcontribs) 17:39, 14 May 2017 (EDT)

Support I don't really care, but I want to speed this up and this is what I think is the way to go PoultrysigSSB4.pngPoultryPoultrysigSSBM.png(talk) the God-Slayer 11:59, 14 May 2017 (EDT)

Oppose Unless the other special opponents listed above are also deemed unnecessary, this should stay, if only because this team has an official name. This one in particular really just needs some more images and such so it can fit in with its equals. BaconMasterBaconMasterSig.png 19:37, 21 May 2017 (EDT)

Support pending a substantial mention on, say, Mario's and Luigi's pages. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 21:52, 21 May 2017 (EDT)

To what end? There's nothing more to say other than "they're a team in X circumstance". Miles (talk) 22:28, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
That's all it needs, with maybe a couple words on the significance. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 22:00, 29 May 2017 (EDT)

Second Deletion[edit]

Strong Oppose Mario and Luigi server as iconic duos that became the footprint for 2v2 battles in later games. This article was once a candidate for deletion but failed. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is a never lover boy 17:13, September 22, 2023 (EDT)

Support. Unlike even the Yoshi Team, Kirby Team, Giant Kirby, and Giant Bowser (which I still support deleting), there is nothing mechanically notable about the Mario Bros. team. ShootingStar7X (talk) 12:46, October 2, 2023 (EDT)
