The following is a list of the trophies that were added in The Akaneia Build, a mod for Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Normal order

# Name Image First Game / Move Description
294 Wolf O'Donnell Wolf Trophy Akaneia.png Star Fox 64
6/97
As the leader of the mercenary gang Star Wolf, he accepted orders from Andross to eliminate Star Fox. His rivalry with Star Fox and the McCloud family may have been long before, but his past and ambitions remain shrouded in mystery. Is his distaste for Fox strong enough to keep him coming back, or is he itching to score a big prize for his boss?
295 Wolf O'Donnell [Smash] Wolf Trophy (Smash) Akaneia.png B: Blaster
Smash B: Wolf Flash
From a distance, his combat style can seem similar to Fox's fast-paced fighting, but Wolf carries a bit more weight in his attacks. This is exemplified by Wolf's modified blaster. It fires slowly, but makes up for it in power. His Wolf Flash travels at an angle to throw unsuspecting foes for a loop.
296 Wolf O'Donnell [Smash] Wolf Trophy (Smash 2) Akaneia.png Up & B: Fire Wolf
Down & B: Reflector
Wolf may be ruthless with his claws, but he doesn't drive into battle headfirst. Literally. Unlike Fox or Falco, Wolf recovers with a fiery kick. With a few options to send an opponent dropping, he will need all the help he can get back on stage. If you are Wolf's prey, good luck.
297 Diddy Kong Diddy Kong Trophy Akaneia.png Donkey Kong Country
11/94
Diddy Kong is without a doubt Donkey Kong's best friend. Once a hero in training, Diddy helped saved[sic] Donkey Kong Island and later Donkey Kong himself. He has a cool style of his own, including his signature jetpack and peanut popgun. Of all Nintendo's heroes, no red cap is quite as recognizable as Diddy Kong's.
298 Diddy Kong [Smash] Diddy Kong Trophy (Smash) Akaneia.png B: Peanut Popgun
Smash B: Monkey Flip
Diddy's Monkey Flip allows him to maneuver around the stage with ease. Landing on an opponent will trap them in Diddy's grasp, or you may press the B button again for a flying kick! Charge Diddy's Peanut Popgun for more range, but if it charges for too long, it will blow up in his face!
299 Diddy Kong [Smash] Diddy Kong Trophy (Smash 2) Akaneia.png Up & B: Rocketbarrel Boost
Down & B: Banana Peel
Diddy may be light on his feet, but he knows others can be just as agile. Tossing a banana peel on the ground can give anyone the slip and give Diddy the advantage. The Rocketbarrel pack will help Diddy's ascent. Charge it all the way for a stronger launch and more distance.
300 Charizard Charizard Trophy Akaneia.png Pokémon Red & Blue
9/98
This literal fire starter is massively popular Pokémon from the Kanto region. It grows giant wings after evolving from Charmeleon, but it's too heavy to sustain flight. A Pokémon trainer once raised a Charizard strong enough to face the Pokémon champion, only for the champion to have an equally strong Blastoise on his team.
301 Charizard [Smash] Charizard Trophy (Smash) Akaneia.png B: Flamethrower
Smash B: Dragon Rage
Charizard is one of the heaviest fighters in the cast, but it keeps everyone in check with a versatile set of attacks: scratches, bites, tail whips, and powerful wings. Flamethrower, one of Charizard's most iconic attacks, can manage a crowd. Dragon Rage can break up an encounter too, but it has a little bit of startup time.
302 Charizard [Smash] Charizard Trophy (Smash 2) Akaneia.png Up & B: Fly
Down & B: Rock Smash
Charizard can win a match with well-timed, heavy attacks. Don't worry too much about getting hit. Charizard can get a few extra jumps out of its wings to get back to safety. Its Fly attack also engulfs its body in searing flames. Try using Rock Smash everywhere you go. The terrain will alter the attack's looks!
303 Lucas Lucas Trophy Akaneia.png Mother 3
Japan Only
You may not recognize this sweet young boy from Tazmuli[sic] Village. Lucas is the star of his own adventure where he discovers his psychic powers. He may not know Ness, but their journeys seem heavily linked. Is this shy boy brave enough to embark on such an outrageous quest far away from home?
304 Lucas [Smash] Lucas Trophy (Smash) Akaneia.png B: PK Freeze
Smash B: PK Fire
Lucas is physically similar to Ness, but his movement feels more like floating. Ness relies on more punches and kicks whereas Lucas draws on his strong psychic powers more often. Master PK Freeze to instantly trap enemies in a chunk of ice. If Lucas needs space, PK Fire will knock opponents away.
305 Lucas [Smash] Lucas Trophy (Smash 2) Akaneia.png Up & B: PK Thunder
Down & B: PSI Magnet
Lucas's PK Thunder can pass through his opponents without vanishing, which makes it a great choice for recovery. If you are struggling to recover, try calling on help from the trusty Rope Snake. It can latch onto ledges and other fighters. Where did this Rope Snake come from anyway?
306 Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic the Hedgehog
6/91
Without a doubt, this blue hedgehog is the fastest thing alive. Sonic's not a big fan of waiting or injustice, and he will stop at nothing to keep Dr. Robotnik from hurting his friends and pursuing world domination. He's waited a long time to duke it out with Mario and co. Sonic is always up for a friendly rivalry!
307 Sonic the Hedgehog [Smash] Sonic Trophy (Smash) Akaneia.png B: Homing Attack
Smash B: Light Dash
It goes without saying, but Sonic is the fastest character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. No one can outrun him, and they probably can't escape his Homing Attack either. If anyone is nearby, Sonic will lock on and dive in. For a different flavor of speedy attacks, Sonic can charge his Light Speed Dash and get a more substantial hit in.
308 Sonic the Hedgehog [Smash] Sonic Trophy (Smash 2) Akaneia.png Up & B: Spring Jump
Down & B: Spin Charge
If he wasn't already fast enough, get ready for Sonic's Spin Charge ability. He can curl up into a ball and traverse the stage while racking up hits. Mash the B button to charge the dash before launching for greater speeds! His Spring Jump gives him a great vertical boost, so there's nowhere Sonic can't go in a battle.
309 Super Sonic Super Sonic Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic The Hedgehog 2
11/92
When Sonic and Tails first teamed up against Dr. Robotnik, the race was on to collect the Chaos Emeralds. If Sonic got them all, he could transform into Super Sonic. Somehow, he's even faster! This extreme power doesn't last long, so Sonic must use his power wisely. This isn't something you see everyday!
310 Tails Tails Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic The Hedgehog 2
11/92
Miles Power is a young fox easily recognized for his two tails, hence his nickname: Tails. He wanted to be just like Sonic when he was younger. They're both freedom fighters, but Tails also developed a knack for mechanics. He pilots the Tornado, a handy biplane, and the Cyclone, a mechanical walker.
311 Knuckles Knuckles Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic The Hedgehog 3
4/94
As the guardian of Angel Island's Master Emerald, Knuckles the Echidna is tough as nails. Dr. Robotnik tricked Knuckles into becoming Sonic's nemesis, but he has since joined Sonic on many adventures. He's a martial artist, a treasure hunter, and a wall-basher, making him a great partner and loyal friend for Sonic and Tails.
312 Amy Amy Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic CD
11/93
Let's get one thing straight: Amy IS Sonic's girlfriend. She decided this since their first destined encounter, and it remains true to this day. Sonic may not always reciprocate those feelings, but surely he feels the same way. Don't tell her otherwise, or she will lay down her Piko Piko Hammer.
313 Shadow Shadow Trophy Akaneia.png Sonic Adventure 2
6/01
Don't be fooled. This isn't Sonic. Shadow was created to be the ultimate life form with the unique ability to harness the power of the chaos Emeralds. He struggles to define his purpose, and he doesn't know exactly where he belongs. His likeness to Sonic once unintentionally put Sonic in a tricky situation.
314 Kirby Hat 6 Kirby Hat 6 Trophy Akaneia.png Super Smash Bros. Melee
12/01
Kirby has too many hats for just one hatrack. When copying Wolf, Kirby not only dons his signature eyepatch, but blaster as well. Diddy Kong's cap gives Kirby the iconic Nintendo cap, and the ability to use the poppin' Peanut Popgun. With a little Charizard cap on, Kirby can scorch his foes with the powerful Flamethrower attack.
315 Kirby Hat 7 Kirby Hat 7 Trophy Akaneia.png Super Smash Bros. Melee
12/01
These are impossibly rare finds for Kirby's assortment of hats! When Kirby copes Lucas, he gains the same messy hairstyle and is able to cast his own PK Freeze. While Kirby may not be able to replicate Sonic's speed, he does get access to the handy Homing Attack! Don't take these abilities for granted in battle.

Trivia

  • Much like the other Pokémon playable characters, Charizard's Classic Mode trophy pose references a previous pose, specifically that of its artwork from FireRed and LeafGreen. However, Melee predates the remakes, thereby contrasting The Akaneia Build's focus of using content released prior to Melee.
  • The Sonic the Hedgehog trophies still refer to Dr. Eggman as "Dr. Robotnik", his localized name from the early Genesis titles, despite the fact that Sonic Adventure, which released two years before Melee, officially established Dr. Eggman as his name (albeit as a nickname).
  • In v0.9, Tails's trophy erroneously stated that he built the Tornado. In actuality, the Tornado is owned by Sonic himself (with him freely letting Tails use it), and it is unknown who built it—Tails instead built its successors, such as the Tornado-2 from Sonic Adventure and the Tornado-1 from Sonic Unleashed.
