Training mode just calls it the drill, not the drill arm. I believe it should be moved. PikaSamus (talk) 11:38, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
- Yeah I'm not sure what to make of that. The weapon is called "Drill Arm", there's no valid argument there, yet both training and the item switch just call it "Drill". I don't have its trophy yet, what's its official name? Toomai Glittershine The Yoshi 12:03, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
Drill vs. Drill Arm
I'm only moving it here because clearly I'm the only one mature to do it
It's very clearly the Drill Arm, but without confirmation, we can't call it "definitely the Drill Arm". I don't care about the whole unofficial thing. Do the words "based off of" really affect it that much? The entire trivia point is stupid without confirmation, at least based off of is better. ...a new Nuttais approaching... 19:42, 12 October 2014 (EDT)
- The phrase "based off of" implies that it is mostly similar with key differences. This is not the case - it is identical in every possible way except the name, which may even be a mistranslation as far as we know. Everyone here and on other sites seems equally baffled that it's being treated as a unique no-origin item when the evidence is clear that it's not. - Then don't use "based off of". But it isn't "definitely" the Drill Arm. This page implies that you have strong evidence from Sakurai or other developers that its the drill arm- you're just going by observations. ...a new Nuttais approaching... 22:21, 12 October 2014 (EDT)
- I don't believe "quite obviously" sounds professional. Plus, obviousness depends on the person. One man may believe it's obvious, but his friend may not believe it as such. Even if it appears to be obvious to the writer of that sentence, it may not appear obvious to others. Is it listed as a Drill Arm in the Japanese version, or just a drill? - I believe it's listed as "ドリル", which is "drill" (there's a Japanese textdump, and I'm assuming it matches the English one because it has mostly the same line numbers), but we'd need the Japanese Uprising name to compare to and I don't know where to look. Moving Drill (item) to Drill
Support. Whoever suggested that Drill needs to move to "Drill" has a good point. It is the only page that has the name. Derekblue1 (talk) 06:36, April 30, 2023 (EDT)
