Katakiri is a smasher from Columbus, Ohio who mains Mii Gunner and is considered one of the worldwide top players with this character. In early 2020, he picked up Mii Brawler and currently describes himself as a co-main of both Miis. Katakiri formerly mained Pokémon Trainer but has dropped the character since switching to Gunner in mid June 2019. He has taken sets off players such as Umeki, Geist, Darkshad, colinies, Doorstop, and Komota. Between April and December 2019 he was ranked amongst the Midwest Top 50, placing 17th in the Great Lakes region and as the highest ranking Mii Gunner main. He was last ranked 2nd on the Columbus Power Rankings and 6th on the Ohio Smash Ultimate Power Rankings in 2020, before taking an extended leave from the scene.
In Smash 4, he mained Mewtwo and formerly Meta Knight. He was considered to be one of the best Mewtwo players in the midwest, as well as one of the best Meta Knight players in the United States, along with Ito, Tyrant, and S2H. He is formerly ranked 2nd on the Ohio Smash 4 Power Rankings.

- In late February 2020, Katakiri defeated Bruh-man (3-0) during a game in Elite Smash. This resulted in the latter publicly challenging Katakiri (via Twitter) to a $100 money match at the next Smash event that they would both attend, which Katakiri accepted. The money match took place on the first evening of Frostbite 2020 to a cheering crowd consisting of players from Ohio and Louisiana, the two players' respective states, followed by an OH vs LA crew battle. Katakiri lost the money match (5-3 in a first-to-five set) and afterwards took three stocks off LA player C.Falcon during the crew battle (OH 4:3 LA), losing his final stock once again to Bruh-man (OH 3:3 LA). The crew battle was ultimately won by team Ohio with one stock to spare.
- Katakiri won Frostbite 2020's Memelord Award, a special Pot Bonus for the highest placing solo (Sans) Mii Gunner, reaching 65th overall.
- Between mid October and December 2019, Katakiri placed 1st from winner's side at the Columbus weekly SmashLAN'd tournament for seven consecutive weeks.
- This resulted in a bounty on him for five SmashLAN'd weeklies starting form January 2020 for whoever would manage to win a set against him. Starting at $10, the bounty increased by that amount each week that Katakiri remained undefeated whereby the money would go to him if that remained to be the case by the end of the final week. The bounty was claimed during the second week by GoMan.
- As a fan of Undertale, Katakiri showed up to Class Change Warrior dressed as Sans, complete with the characteristic shorts, white shirt and socks and the official fan merchandise hoodie, though not the iconic pink slippers. Ironically, he won Grand Finals mainly using his secondary, King Dedede.
- Apart from Undertale, he enjoys playing other game series represented in Smash, including Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Fire Emblem, and Monster Hunter.
