Mario Bros. Madness is the 31st of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee, where the player must fight Mario and Luigi in a two-minute timed match. As the name implies, this event is related to Super Mario Bros. for the NES.
Similar to timed matches in Versus Mode, there is no limit on stock. Instead, each character gains a point for every KO they inflict on an opponent, and loses a point every time they are KOed or they self-destruct. The player wins if they have the most points at the end of the time limit.

- This is one of only four event matches in Melee where the player has infinite stocks, the others being Event 5: Spare Change, Event 13: Yoshi's Egg, and Event 32: Target Acquired.
