Azendash

Azendash is the specific name for the event in which a player attempts a wavedash near the edge of the stage and mistakenly air dodges off the level, resulting in their character's death (noted as a suicide in the match results).

A common scenario in which a player might Azendash is while attempting to edgehog via wavedash. When a player fails to wavedash correctly, their character does not grab the edge and dies off the bottom of the stage.

This term comes affectionately from Azen, who often committed suicide by Azendashing.
