KoRoBeNiKi is an American smasher from New Jersey. In the original Super Smash Bros, he uses Yoshi as a main and Captain Falcon and Samus as secondaries. He is in the reputed online crew, Prodigies of Premium Smash and the reputed online crew, Fatal 5 for brawl.
The Beginning of Super Smash Bros. 64 Online
Around fall of 2006, KoRoBeNiKi was told about Smash Bros. online by MattNF. At the start, he was a total noob. He started out using Luigi, Captain Falcon, and DK, but he sucked as all of them. However, he became better and better.
The Better Days
During January 2007, SuperBoomFan allowed him to join Prodigies of Premium Smash (though, it was mostly because of being a Falcon user and a friend of MattNF). He was the 4th or 5th player to join the clan.
Still plays random people for fun at 10:00 (Eastern Time) and later. Many people consider him to be one of the best Yoshi's online. Like all other smash games, he has a weakness. In this game, it would be a top Fox user or a top Mario user. He actually likes playing vs Pikachu and Kirby regardless of their tier placement. Currently, he is not playing smash 64 that often anymore since he is concentrating on online ladders for brawl. He plays smash 64 once in a while to warm up his hands or when he gets tired of brawl. Smash 64 is his favorite smash game due to the fact that it is the overall most balanced smash game. It also contains his favorite smash music (Metal Mario) and the best online experience. The tornado is his other main weakness as he tends to be always comboed by and into the "nado." He said he would be continuing smash 64 more often but there is a huge difference between the top players and the bottom players and the community is too small.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Since the start, KoRoBeNiKi used Roy and Luigi. However, his Luigi wasn't really that good, so he switched to Samus. For low tier matches, he prefers to use Game and Watch, Yoshi and Luigi. Recently found out his ganondorf is really good and that his game and watch can beat marth users. Currently, he is going back to his roots and becoming a luigi main again. Currently, Luigi, Falcon, Ganon, and Samus are his most used characters but he hasn't played well since Smashtality III. He is currently not playing melee due to brawl. He dislikes facing cpu's and says that New Jersey is too good for him in melee. Overall, he has no practice besides tournaments. Melee is his least favorite smash game due to its balance and the fact he really despises marth.
Brawl
KoRoBeNiKi got brawl a few days after it came out. He can virtually use anyone but mains Luigi (SSBB) and Wario (SSBB). Afterwards he uses Falcon followed by random. He officially plays on really any stage but despises any Walk Off stage or Cave of Life stage. He is with the countless others who believe that Luigi's Mansion should be banned. He also can play in teams and wishes to play in more tournaments instead of the delay ridden online (not by him). Koro has his own list of stages which he thinks should be allowed.
Online ladders
On SBR when he played there, his rank was between 50 and 100 out of the around 1300 ranked people before he stopped going there when the doubles ladder was never made. He will still play there but only on an occasion. On AIB, KoRo normally falls around the top 200 or 300 people on the ladder. His main complaint are the stage choices and the fact that their are no stage strikes. He likes the community however and likes how many tournaments happen there and prefers the AIB community over the Gamebattles community. Recently, KoRoBeNiKi entered Gamebattles where he became in the top 20 within his first week. He finds Gamebattles to be populated by more varied characters and almost no one there has bad input lag. He also likes how their is both a neutral only stage choice (given) and a all stage choice. His profile always states that he bans Lylat Cruise since the background causes extra delay online. KoRo finds the Gamebattles people to be worse than the AIB people but has a fun time there anyway.
Fatal 5
Currently, KoRo is a member of the highly ranked clan Fatal 5. Fatal 5 includes such people as Tapion, Renegade, Sonic Ghost, and Izaw. KoRo uses all characters and is one of F5's brawl testers. His tests are rigorous but at the same time relaxed. He has participated in many clan wars and recently took off 5 stocks in a row to clinch a clan war. KoRo is currently a F5 (top member) of the Fatal 5 instead of a F5(X) after defeating another F5 member in a best of 5.
Pros/Semi-Pro's vs KoRo
KoRo has played many pros just because many pros came to Smashtality III. He has played against Cactuar (multiple times), M2K (m2k) multiple times, Chu Dat (twice in a money match), and Forward. This is because KoRo has the annoying property of getting the worst people in pools. To show his "luck," in Smashtality II, he had Cactuar and m2k in a pool. He has won vs multiple semi-pros before also. Similar pool luck have occurred in brawl.
Teams
He has teamed in Super Smash Bros. with MattNF using Falcon, Yoshi, or Pikachu, while Matt used Falcon, Mario, or Pikachu. In SSBM, he teams with MattNF (same one) using either a double Samus, a Luigi and Falcon, or a Samus and Falcon combo, calling themselves "Team Spamus." Recently MattNF moved to Florida so he teams with Gale. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he uses Luigi and Wario in teams followed by random. He teams with members of the Fatal 5 and other people from Allisbrawl or Gamebattles. His most recent teammate offline was Kai, a sonic and diddy user. KoRo prefers teams over singles in all 3 smash games.
