Fun Fact, in every smash game, Dedede has had a new backair. First was the kick in brawl, then the vertical swing in Smash 4, and now the horizontal swipe. Tips And Tricks

Many consider poor Dedede a low tier, but that isn’t really true. If you play him well, he can be a dominating upper-mid to high-tier. The trick is to be careful in using Gordo, and be prepared to hit it back or dodge a reflected one.

Also utilise Dedede’s good grab game, and use down throw for kill setups and confirms. Also, forward throw can be a very situational KO option at the ledge.

What I exactly am I doing that you guys think is wrong in editing

I don’t get it. What’s wrong with saying Dededes fsmash is among the strongest raw attacks in the game? Besides, how many characters raw attacks kill before 15%? From my point of view all I see is people removing what I added for no reason (ok I did make a few legit errors but anyway), then I apparently got warned (but never knew), and then blocked for a day for no reason. Read your talkpage, you keep inputting wrong numbers, adding redundancy (like the moveset section already mentions Dedede's f-smash is the strongest in the game), and keep adding stuff that is poorly worded, if not outright unnecessary. Omega Tyrant 20:18, June 15, 2021 (EDT)

About Dedede’s tier placement

I feel like his reception has improved recently to the point he is around mid tier, or upper mid tier (high tier at a super stretch) what do you guys think? MetaKnightX6 (talk) 17:23, June 21, 2021 (EDT)

Most Historically Significant

Personally disagree with Big D and Franku's inclusion. 17th at one B tier isn't enough for me to label someone as "Most Historically Significant". Big D I'm definitely open to if he used him in a relevant way recently, but has he had notable results since Genesis 6? (Which is like Fen 2019?) Wiifitkid (talk) 21:58, July 22, 2021 (EDT)

Big D had a few miscellaneous times of using him: Trinity 2019 against Pandarian, Emerald City 8 against Pokepen, BashFest against Lemmon, and Goblin at Kongo Saga (but lost that one). Not much nowadays, which is why I wrote "rare secondary", but he has to be one of the most significant because he's one of the first names that pop up for many. Also another reason that I added Franku was because he has the best European wins alongside Peli. I also wanted to keep Bryce, but realized that he was too inactive pre-covid to make up enough to qualify. PowerShield03 (talk) 20:24, July 22, 2021 (EDT)

The goal here is "most historically notable," and unfortunately most of Big D's Dedede usage was in the early metagame, and most if not all early metagame characters won't have historical notability. Also, Franku may have some solid results but he hasn't performed as well as any of the other King Dedede players, with his best being 17th at a 200+ player regional. We could consider Franku in the future, but for now he doesn't really fit the requirement either. CookiesCreme 22:27, July 22, 2021 (EDT)
