Third-Party Series

For this section, only third-party series with at least one Nintendo-published installment are allowed, as long as that installment is published by Nintendo either worldwide, in Japan (due to something I'm calling the "Shovel Ray" clause. See the "Excluded IPs" sub-page for more info), or at least in the region it first came out in (as long as it's a brand new game and not a port of sorts, unless the port is based on a Nintendo-distributed game like Killer Instinct or is directly developed in-house by a Nintendo division such as Crystalis).

In addition, each series will be ordered by the earliest release date of their first Nintendo-published installment.

Do note that some of the IPs included are listed here based solely on the fact that their first installment was published by a third-party, due to ambiguity as to whether the overall IP in question is third-party or Nintendo-owned.

If there's a third-party game/series that you think is missing here, go to this page to see why I excluded it from this list.
