Series title

Since the version 10.0.0 update refers to the series as the FINAL FANTASY VII Series in the sound test, should the title of this article be changed to match? Pratikmii03 (talk) 08:44, December 18, 2020 (EST)

We won't do that because as far as we're concerned, the single game, FF7, is most certainly not a "Series." Additionally, the Spirits list in Ultimate lists Cloud's and Sephiroth's fighter spirits as part of the Final Fantasy Series like it should. So, for consistency and logic purposes, really no reason to do what you suggest. Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. SamtheBKBossSIGN.png 08:26, December 20, 2020 (EST)
On the contrary, FFVII had developed into its own subcontinuity with spinoffs and movies, since each numerical Final Fantasy installment is self-contained (other Final Fantasy installments have done similar things when developing upon the setting of a previous game). Three of the tracks in the game are sourced from Advent Children, which though derived from music from the game FFVII are directly associated with this piece of non-game media. Likewise, there are no included music tracks from other numerical Final Fantasy installments nor any tracks that might be associated with Final Fantasy as a whole, e.g., the Chocobo Theme.
Then again, both the Pac-Man and Fatal Fury SSBU Music pages (and their in-game counterparts) list tracks from sources other than specifically Pac-Man and Fatal Fury. But we broaden the scope for those categories in those articles because the game lists it as such in the Sound Test (contrary to their corresponding Spirits and their own categorizations I might add). Surely a case can be made to narrow the scope for this article in a fashion that does not conflict with its contents. DevNode (talk) 14:37, December 20, 2020 (EST)
For the sake of clarity, I don't think there's any reason to complicate this article's title by forcing it to copy the exact in-game wording. We already don't copy the all-caps stylizations, so I think keeping the title easy to find and consistent with other series is desirable. Miles (talk) 14:43, December 20, 2020 (EST)

Shouldn’t we add back in that with the release of Challenger pack 8 Ultimate has now reached the milestone of 1000 tracks

I don’t why we can’t include that since that is actually quite a achievement in of itself since 1002 music tracks is quite a lot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 35.136.180.207 14:09, December 20, 2020 (EST) (talkcontribs) {{{2}}}

As I stated, that's not specifically related to this page in particular; rather it has to do with the game's music as a whole, which is why it's fine to simply mention it on Music (SSBU), the page about the game's music as a whole. Miles (talk) 14:36, December 20, 2020 (EST)
Trivia sections are for NOTABLE tidbits that can't be fit anywhere else in the article. In the case of the 1000 tracks, as Miles has stated, it's already printed at the top of the page, so there's no need to put it in the trivia as well. Black Vulpine of the 🦊Furry Nation🐺.
