Re-removing the comment about Wario's Wario Land costume technically defies the policy. Although I agree with you, it should have been discussed on the talk page first. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 14:34, 4 June 2015 (EDT)
- Hm, I guess I misunderstood the policy then. Alright, duly noted. Zyrac (talk) 14:41, 4 June 2015 (EDT)
Diddy Kong (SSB4)
Not undoing the edit. But... where did you get the information that Nintendo will release a patch that will make Diddy vulnerable to grabs again? I am more than interested! --BeepYou (talk) 19:49, 6 October 2015 (EDT)
R.I.P. Mega Man's Forward Smash?
Hey, man. Just came here with a question. I don't quite understand what you mean with your edit on Mega Man's page. Isn't the increase in shieldstun better for Mega Man and his forward smash? Maybe I'm missing something. Aardvarkian (talk) 17:25, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
The increase in shieldstun basically means it takes more time for a character to act after getting hit while shielding. It's like hitstun, but for shielding. Aardvarkian (talk) 17:30, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
This all means that the attacker gets more time to grab someone who is in shield, or to keep pressuring their shield or battering it to the point of breakage. Aardvarkian (talk) 17:32, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
- The problem for this move is the hitlag change, which is something that's caused a lot of confusion (partly due to a lack of readily avaible data on hitlag). See, moves cause a certain amount of freeze frames based on both how much damage the move does, and its hitlag multiplier. Prior to the patch, hitlag multipliers weren't applied to shielding targets, but now they are - and Mega Man's fsmash has a 0.3x multiplier. As a result, a shielding target suffers significantly fewer freeze frames than before, allowing them to act sooner despite the increase in actual shieldstun. Zyrac (talk) 17:36, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
- Ok, hitlag exists even on shield, but the latest update introduced hitlag multipliers for attacks on shield as well, which were previously used for moves that actually hit, and the multiplier for Mega Man's forward smash actually decreases the amount of hitlag. Aardvarkian (talk) 17:43, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
- Is that right? Aardvarkian (talk) 17:43, 14 October 2015 (EDT)
- Ok. Thanks for the explanation! Aardvarkian (talk) 18:03, 14 October 2015 (EDT)

You do if it's in training mode. Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 10:51, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
- You can just press home and post to Miiverse or Image Share... um, if you have a New 3DS. I forgot you can't post with a standard 3DS, so I was partly wrong there. I wonder if the glitch is actually exclusive to training, though? There's no info on what causes it. Zyrac (talk) 10:55, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
- There isn't, but I can attempt to replicate it... Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 10:58, 22 October 2015 (EDT)
- As far as I know, the glitch is a mere Easter egg. However, I may be wrong; I do not have Dream Land 64. This was in the original, too. User:ThePikaPlayer 11:08, 29 October 2015.
- That's not the same thing. In Smash 4, Dedede isn't supposed to appear in the background if he's in the battle (an in-game tip says as much). The glitch is when you're playing as him and he does still appear there. Zyrac (talk) 11:30, 29 October 2015 (EDT)
- Oh, OK. Just checked the tips section. You ARE right. Sorry, I didn't notice it. ThePikaPlayer (talk) 17:48, 29 October 2015 (EDT)

Just an opinion
How good do you think I am as a user? --BeepYou (talk) 19:16, 15 November 2015 (EST)
- Ooh, I've been put on the spot. Well, it's nice that you value my opinion - not sure what I've done to make you like me so much, heh.
- Let's see. I'd say you're among the better contributors around here. You seem quite capable of writing things from scratch, which is valuable - it's something a lot of people struggle with. If I have some criticism for you, it's that you occasionally seem a little too sure of yourself regarding metagame stuff; remember that your instinct isn't always going to be right, and try to verify things before you start saying them. This is something we all need to keep in mind, really; we don't often have people with serious competitive experience helping out, so it may wise to look elsewhere (Smashboards, for example) to see if we really know what we're talking about.
- But anyway, my overall opinion of you is positive. I know I've corrected you or disagreed with you on some stuff, but don't worry about it. I don't look down on you or anything like that. Zyrac (talk) 06:28, 16 November 2015 (EST)
Smash?
I'd normally upload some relacements for the low-quality gifs, but I'm not really in the mood for that. And because I think you're a great user. I don't ask every random person I find. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 10:58, 14 December 2015 (EST)
- You want to play me? Afraid I can't right now. On a weekday you'd have to catch me in the evening, ideally between 8 and 10 PM UK time. Weekends are better. Thanks for the compliment, in any case! Zyrac (talk) 11:06, 14 December 2015 (EST)
- Oh right, it's Monday... Well ok, in a few days then. Or ask me if you see me around. And, you're welcome! Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 11:18, 14 December 2015 (EST)
Let's Smash
Zyrac, I accept. I can play Smash with you as of right now. But only on the 3DS version. Looking forward for it! My FC is on my user page. -- The 70's called. They said BeepYou was here :v 18:20, 18 December 2015 (EST)
- Oop, sorry, I was off playing With Anyone and it's getting late here now. I'll try and catch you during the weekend. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 19:55, 18 December 2015 (EST)
Blurring Blade
Hey, any way you could check the in-game custom description to make sure that's correct? Thanks Serpent King 08:53, 14 January 2016 (EST)
- Yes, my PAL copy of Smash 3DS calls the move Blade Flurry. I checked all the other Mii Fighter move names earlier today as well. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 09:04, 14 January 2016 (EST)
Duel
Are you up for Smash? I don't have anything better to do for now, so... Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 11:29, 20 January 2016 (EST)
- What I said last time you asked still applies - I'm not very available for games during the week, unfortunately. I could manage in a few hours if you're still free then, though. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 11:37, 20 January 2016 (EST)
- Right, I forgot about that. If you're free in... 2-4 hours, then okay. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 11:40, 20 January 2016 (EST)
looking through your contributions and...
i think you might have enough vandal reverts to complete a rollback draft. just go through your contributions and find three reverts of vandals! Poultry(talk) the Pumpkin Pie 17:47, 23 February 2016 (EST)
- Thanks, but I'm aware. I've just never bothered to apply for rollback because I don't see the need. I feel like I'd mostly just be giving myself something to click on by accident. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 04:08, 24 February 2016 (EST)
Now that you're here...
I'm rewriting Jigglypuff's "Attributes" section right now. Any suggestions on what I should emphasise? Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 05:09, 7 April 2016 (EDT)
- Well you could talk about ways of landing Rest; that's something the page is kinda missing right now. Other than that I mostly stand by the gist of how it is now - Puff gets early kills with edgeguarding and Rest, but hates shields (I think the shieldstun patch was good for her) and dies easily. Very much a high-risk character, which tends to be a bad thing in high-level play - you have to be consistent to win tournaments. I don't really agree that her grounded moveset is "terrible" - some of her ground moves are pretty good in and of themselves, they're just kinda hard to use because of the bad mobility and range. To be honest though, I don't have too much knowledge of how other people play this character (I use Pound a lot but I think that's just me); I should look up some tournament vids sometime. I'd also like to see more mention of doubles since she's better there, but that's something character pages in general are lacking. Nobody ever seems to talk about doubles. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 05:41, 7 April 2016 (EDT)
- I see. I also agree with Puff's underrated ground game. She doesn't have a single move that deals less than 9%. It has everything but range, honestly. But anyway, I appreciate the help. Drill Blaster Mark 2 (talk) 05:50, 7 April 2016 (EDT)
ZeRo
My bad, I was the one who wrote that part. :( Penro 11:55, 28 June 2016 (EDT)
- No worries. My comment was more about the general overuse of "however" than that paragraph specifically. And I do understand it's easy to overrely on certain words when writing. Just gotta break out the thesaurus sometimes if it's getting repetitive. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 14:15, 28 June 2016 (EDT)
Hey you
Get off of my cloud! Can I add you on Wii U's friend list? You seem like a very interesting person... and i like to just mess around in Smash more than fight Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ 13:02, 22 July 2016 (EDT)
- You can go ahead if you want. I'm not really a fan of messing around without fighting, but I'd happily play on whatever wacky settings you like. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 13:08, 22 July 2016 (EDT)
- Way past cool! (That's my way of saying thank you) Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ 13:11, 22 July 2016 (EDT)
Eyyy
Long time no talk to you, eh? Only wanted to give you some advice: don't hold back on how much info you're gonna add to a character's tier placement and history. If it's necessary, you can extend yourself as much as you need (not excessively, though) when writing about a character that was at first good, then dwindled as the meta advanced, and viceversa with bad characters like Mewtwo. -- BeepYou: I told y'all she wasn't bottom tier! (talk) 05:46, 23 August 2016 (EDT)
- As the size of this page suggests, people don't talk to me much in general - but that's my own fault for not being sociable. Anyway, I do think it's important to be concise when possible and not slip into writing stuff that's redundant with the rest of the page, but if there really is a lot to be said then it's fine to go ahead and say it. I'm only so confident in what I know about community perceptions, though. And of course, you can feel free to expand on what I write if you want. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 05:55, 23 August 2016 (EDT)
Congrats
For entering into the Replay Hut :) -- BeepYou (talk) 11:20, 20 September 2016 (EDT)
- I confess I was waiting for someone to notice. Thanks! And hey, Palutena is A-tier waifu, not bad. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 11:28, 20 September 2016 (EDT)
Cloud's Climhazzard Code
[1] Ruben says it is intentional here, and I would agree, since this seems to be the only move in the game with such a weakness, and it's on a character that has a bad recovery by default. Gold 23:43, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Alright, that makes sense, the flag thing doesn't sound like it could be a mistake. I added back the "intentionally" with that page as a source. Weird how it doesn't happen when reeling though. Zyrac(talk•contribs) 05:03, 2 June 2017 (EDT)
Do both Brawl and Smash 4 omit Pokémon and Assist Trophies on certain stages?
Ever since Ultimate's rule of not allowing all assist trophies, Pokémon or even items on every single stage, that got me curiously wondering after 10 years of Brawl's release date... what happens if you spawn [insert assist trophy character with a very unique property here] on a small stage or a moving stage?!? Believe it or not, I spent 10 years of Brawl's existence not knowing nor being aware what Devil does, being that he completely moves blastzones (not just/only camera-angles) from place to place in any particular stage, and I also didn't think of what would happen if you summon Andross, Ho-Oh or Lugia in a stage with very-close walls in the background or placing middair Bumpers in moving stages, so much etcetera. (Yeah, neither can I believe that Ultimate was how long it took me to realize the potential breaks of particular effects in Smash Bros). What I really want to know is if Brawl omitts Assist Trophies (especially Devil) on certain stages (I already know about items since I tested Bumpers which never spawn on moving stages, I also tested items with size-changing effects in Wii U through Garden of Hope and TGCO outside Training Mode, so no-need to inform me about which items don't appear on which stages, given that item-switch really helps out with this curiousity) and if the same thing applies with SSB4, I would love for someone to make a "complete chart between Assisting characters and their stage availabilities" because just uncovering the limits Ultimate makes is too easy to check by going through SSBU's Training Mode anyways. And finally, I just want to find an internet page that confirms me whether or not this character can appear on that stage in this older Smash game, because some stages (like Delfino Plaza) in SSBBrawl's training mode have been tested by me, and never once have I ever encountered a Devil because Random Assist Trophies just forces you to wait until you get the one you actually want.
- sigh* I am so very sorry for this message being this long. Yeah, without further ado, lemme know if you and/or any other admins and/or chat-moderators have enough clue about Brawl and SSB4's stage omitions on any particular Assist Trophies (or also Pokémons too, of course) so that I can be fully aware. I've officially rest my case, peace out! ✌ NinTOONdo (talk) 15:51, July 3, 2020 (EDT)
