Trivia
- The Koopalings and Erdrick are the only playable characters originating from the 1980s not present in the event, due to them being alternate costumes for Bowser Jr. and the Luminary respectively.
- Mushroom Kingdom II and Temple are the only stages from a 1980s game not present in the event.
- Flat Zone X is the only stage that did not appear in a game released on the NES.
- R.O.B. and Ryu are the only main protagonists who do not appear in the main image.
- As R.O.B. is most likely not present due to being a peripheral rather than appearing in-game, Ryu is the only main protagonist with a sprite who does not appear.
