The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Smash Summit 8 is an upcoming national Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament. It will be the eighth installment of the Smash Summit series for Melee, and will be held on June 13th-16th, 2019. Like previous Smash Summits, it will be held at the Summit Gaming House, a private residence house in Los Angeles, California, and will be closed to the general public.
Players invited
The following 8 players were invited by Beyond The Summit:
Hungrybox
Leffen
Zain
Mango
Plup
aMSa
Axe
S2J
- The highest-placing non-invited player at Splash 'N' Smash 5, Get On My Level 2019, and The Kid, The Goat, The Mango will also be invited
Players voted in
The voting system received some minor changes. First, if a person votes for a player who gets eliminated, they will receive half of their votes back, and the votes can be used for other players until the voting ends. Also, the final two players who get eliminated have the choice of either taking a portion of the raised funds that they would have gotten, or be flown out to the tournament, where they can participate in activities and practice.
