Up smash

Up smash, abbreviated "usmash," is a smash attack performed by any character by tapping the control stick upward and pressing A, or (in versus mode) by pressing up on the C-stick. The up smash can be charged by holding the A button for up to two seconds, resulting in higher damage and knockback.

Notable up smashes include:

• Pikachu's up smash, which is the best one in the game because of its knockback and easy-to-land hitbox.
• Sheik's up smash, which is the strongest in the game when sweetspotted.
