Regarding the new article "Differences between Young Link and Toon Link"
The majority (And I mean 99%) of this article is a direct copy and paste of the exact same article from the Brawl Toon Link page, and thus, has an insane amount of misinformation. Some highlights include referencing Melee Young Link's weight/damage/framedata against Brawl Toon Link's weight/damage/framedata on an Ultimate character page, Dedede's chaingrab, the introduction of B-Reversing into Brawl, and many more.
A notable contributor to Young Link (Damascio) and I have had a chat with a Chat Operator (Alex95) in the ssbwiki Discord about all this, and we have yet to reach a proper conclusion on how to go about addressing this. Our concerns are the following:
- Completely deleting the article isn't a great option, as it falls under Vandalism (Though I personally have considered temporarily removing it until we finish a proper writeup)
- The article stands in a weird limbo of comparison, as I personally am unsure if it is even necessary to include an accurate writeup of the comparisons between Ultimate Toon Link to Ultimate Young Link like this, but such a comparison is not out-of-place on this website. However, if we do deem it necessary, do we also compare Ultimate Link?
- Trying to write up whole accurate sections of the differences between all three Link's is way more difficult now than it has ever been considering the amount of differences between them, so we're not sure how to go through with this. Should we also create an accurate comparison of Ultimate Link to Ultimate Toon Link, alongside a fixed comparison between Ultimate Young Link to Ultimate Toon Link, when we already have a comparison between Smash 4 Toon Link and Ultimate Toon Link? Do we only keep Ultimate Link alongside the Smash 4 -> Ultimate comparison? Just Smash 4 -> Ultimate?
I also think the article should at least be temporarily removed or something until we are able to fix it up, but I am unsure how to proceed with that. Any ideas?
