Crownerang is King K. Rool's side special move.
Overview
He takes his crown off of his head and flings it forward. The crown acts like a boomerang (hence the name of the attack), though it can be picked up by another player (by air dodge grabbing or pocketing). Should that happen, K. Rool will be unable to use the attack again until he regains his crown.
If the crown is thrown offstage, it will respawn until it disappears again, only to respawn again. If K. Rool touches the crown, it will automatically be placed back on his head.
Origin
This attack is based on the final boss fight against K. Rool in Donkey Kong Country. In the fight, K. Rool will throw his crown to attack the Kongs, and it is in that moment that they must jump on his head to attack him.
Trivia
- If K. Rool is missing his crown, his up aerial, which involves the crown itself, will do less damage.
