The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Named by Kitt, the chain dance is a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Melee that comes from the boomerang superjump. It can be performed by either Link or Young Link. It is done by throwing the boomerang, and then wall-grappling on a wall or the side of a stage. As soon as the boomerang flies into Link/Young Link, press X and the player will see Link/Young Link jump while they are still hanging on the chain. At this time, the player can perform many different attacks:

  • Pulling out a bomb while on the chain, then press the A button to rise in the air.
  • Throwing the boomerang again, then press the A button to rise in the air.
  • Performing the Spin Attack while on the chain, then press the A button and Spin Attack again for a double up special move.

This glitch was removed from the PAL versions and version 1.2.
